Troubleshooting
- Poor suction/no suction; strong suction, but no more milk.
Q. After using it for a while, the suction power has deteriorated, or there is no suction power.
– A. There is a problem with the duckbill valve, it needs to be cleaned and
replaced regularly, and it is recommended to replace it once every 3 months;
– During the pumping process, the contact between the cup and the breast is
not sealed, and air leakage will affect the suction power.
– Wear the product correctly according to the instructions;
– The battery is low, or running out of battery immediately. Observe the
battery status and charge it in time;
– Insufficient milk secretion, breast blockage, or other reasons, it is
recommended to seek medical attention in time;
– You have used the same gear for along time, and have got used to the suction
of this gear. You may try adjusting the gear appropriately;
Q. Pumping is painful and even hurts the breasts.
– A. The size of the bell mouth of the breast pump does not match the nipple, or the suction of the breast pump is too large. These situations may cause damage to the nipple. This is because the breast pump presses on the nipple when pumping milk, over time, the local soft tissue will be damaged, which will cause edema. In mild cases, itching and pain may occur, and in severe cases, nipple ulcer, local oozing and exudation may occur. Choosing the correct bell mouth diameter is very important. The warranty card is a nipple measurement card. You should measure your nipples before use and choose the size that suits you.
Q. Suction strengths on both sides are the same, but one side sucks more and the other side sucks less.
– A. Incorrect usage. Before using the breast pump, read the instructions
carefully and follow the instructions in the manual to pump.
– The thicknesses of the mammary ducts are different, or the ducts are
blocked. The thicknesses of the mammary ducts on both sides of a person may
also be different. If the breast pump is used in the correct way and the above
situation still occurs, it may imply blockage of the mammary ducts on the
lesser side. Seek immediate medical attention.
– Abnormal nipple: e.g. one nipple collapsed or is inverted, too small, etc.
– It is not recommended to use a breast pump when the mother does not have
sufficient milk. Using a breast pump for a long time may affect the secretion
of milk. It is recommended to feed the baby directly, baby sucking on the
nipple can facilitate the secretion of milk.
