5.1 Transport mode / monitoring mode
In transport mode, the lock only provides mechanical security.
It does not communicate or search for the authorised smartphone. Moving the
lock will not trigger the alarm.
In monitoring mode, the lock additionally provides electronic monitoring for
shock/movement and triggers a loud alarm upon detection.
When delivered, and automatically after locking the lock, transport mode will
be activated.

- Smartphone with functioning SmartX app in range (approx. 2-5 m)
- Actuate (and hold) the slide switch
- Lock automatically unlocks, confirmed by tone sequence
- Remove the shackle (within 10 seconds)
If, while in transport mode, there is no authorised smartphone in the vicinity
or the Bluetooth® function is deactivated when the slide switch is activated,
the lock remains closed.
In monitoring mode, this event would trigger the alarm when movement occurs.
5.3 Closing the lock
- Insert the shackle into the lock body
- Lock automatically closes, confirmed by tone sequence
- Transport mode is activated after 5 seconds, confirmed through a signal tone (deep tones)
- In order to activate monitoring mode, the slide switch must be actuated (and held) within 5 seconds of inserting the shackle, confirmed with a signal tone (high tones)
5.4 Alarm triggering
If lock movement is detected in monitoring mode and the authorised smartphone
is not in range, a pre-alarm will sound.
If strong movement is still detected afterwards, the main alarm will trigger
(15-second duration). The process repeats if movement continues.
