FAQs

General questions:

What is MultiFLEX technoWhat is MultiFLEX technology?

MultiFLEX Technology allows the wand to bend, providing 2 main benefits. The bent wand allows for easy cleaning under furniture and allows the vacuum to fold over for freestanding, compact storage.

How do I use MultiFLEX technology?

Locate the button on the backside of the wand. For easier under furniture cleaning, use the button to bend the wand. Turn the power on and start vacuuming. For storage, turn the vacuum off and then use the button to gently fold the handheld vacuum forward toward the floor nozzle.

NOTE : Not all models are equipped with MultiFlex technology.

How do I attach accessories to the vacuum?

There are two ways to clean with the accessories.

Either separate the handheld portion from the rest of the vacuum by pressing the “Handvac Release” button or keep the wand connected to the handheld and remove the floor nozzle by pressing the “Wand Release” button. Choose the desired cleaning accessory and slide it onto the end of the handheld vacuum or the end of the wand. You will hear a click when it is appropriately attached.

How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

It takes approximately 3 hours to reach a full charge.

What is the runtime of the battery on a full charge?

A single power pack runtime is approximately 40 minutes with new battery using the handvac only.

  • The ION Power Pack, like all lithium-ion products, will naturally decrease in capacity over time from the 100% capacity of a new battery.
  • These times are based on 100% capacity.

Mode – Expected Run Time:

  • Hand Vac  – approx. 40 min.
  • Bare Floor/Standard Mode – approx. 25 min.
  • Carpet Mode – approx. 25 min.
  • Boost Mode (Hand Vac) – approx. 10 min.

General questions about using the vacuum:

How do I remove the handle to clean above floors?

Press the “Handvac Release” button at the top of the wand and pull the handheld vacuum off, separating it from the rest of the vacuum. Attach desired accessory and begin cleaning.

How do I remove the handle with extension wand to clean above floors?

Press the “Wand Release” button near the floor nozzle and pull the wand off. Attach desired accessory to the end of the wand and begin cleaning.

How do I turn the vacuum off?

To turn the vacuum off, slide the power switch to the top notch that corresponds with the “0” icon.

General questions about maintenance:

How do I clean the filters and how often?

To clean filters, rinse them with water only to prevent damage from cleaning chemicals. Allow all filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts. Clean the pre-motor filters at lease once a month and the post-motor filter at lease once a year. More frequent cleaning may sometimes be necessary with heavy use.

How do I empty the dust cup and how often?

First, turn the power off. Then, separate the handheld from the rest of the vacuum by pressing the “Handvac Release” button. Next, hold the dust cup over the trash and press empty dustcup slider down. Tap gently to empty contents and pull any debris off of the metal screen. Close the lid. You will hear it click into place.

For optimal performance, the dust cup should be emptied each time you vacuum and when the dust cup appears full or debris reaches the “MAX FILL” line.
