The SCHWIMMI will not protect against drowning! It may only be used in
striking distance of a supervisor and only in shallow water! All chambers have
to be inflated always completely before use!
The SCHWIMMI, a two chamber swimming collar, is suitable for all age groups
over 4 years. It is destined to take the fear away from the swimming learner,
so that their head cannot get under water. In the almost cases it is the fear
of the beginner that impedes to learn swimming.
When the SCHWIMMI is wearing the whole body of the swimmer lies under water
until over the shoulders. The natural buoyancy of the body will be complete
exploit like a qualified swimmer. Buoyancy aids shall lift the body only a
little bit better not out of the water. After 3-4 hours the swimming learner
feels no changed situation without the SCHWIMMI and swims as further as
previously. It is a normal situation when the swimming starter in a normal
swimming position gets a wave into the face. First of all acclimatisation on
the water is necessary.
In no case blow up the SCHWIMMI with compressed air or an air pump. The
SCHWIMMI may not be used as a cushion or for similar intentions. A damage,
which caused of a too high internal pressure, will not be recognized as a
material defect!
The SCHWIMMI has two separate air chambers and two submersible valves. It is
chlorine and saltwater resistant and it is only available in a yellow signal
colour. The foil is soft and stretchable to conform oneself to every neck
size.
The included two textile belts will pulled into the rear or front bandage-
holes according to neck size of the wearer (see photo). These holes are closed
with the new SCHWIMMI. However, the foil at these holes is preparated, and
the midsections can be pull off easily with the hand. The ribbons prevent a
slipping of the SCHWIMMI over the head. The ends of the ribbons laces firmly
with a loop.
The SCHWIMMI may only blow up with the mouth. You may squeeze the thicker
bottom of valve lightly together, whereby the setback lock is opened and can
be easily blown. Blow up the first chamber until a little more than the half
volume, close the valve and plunge it. Then blow up the second chamber until
the form is stable, close the valve and plunge it.
After the use and when get dirty, e.g. due to sun milk or sand, the SCHWIMMI
should be washed with clear water.
A mild soap solution can be used if necessary. Let the SCHWIMMI completely
dry. Only after that you may discharge the air and fold up the SCHWIMMI. To
exhaust the air should also squeeze the bottom of valve together.
Tip: It is better to convolve the SCHWIMMI toward the valve which
alleviates the venting.
In no case use sharp or acidly substances (e.g. Acetone) or scrubbing
materials (e.g. scrubbing milk) for the cleaning. Damages based on these
substances cannot be repaired.
In this case it will not be recognized as material defects either.
In either case use the SCHWIMMI carefully, in order to avoid damages and keep
the function of SCHWIMMI for a long time. If there is suspicion that the air
with closed valves escapes from the chamber, test the blown up SCHWIMMI in
the water to find the leakage.
For safety reasons the SCHWIMMI may not be repaired. If damage is detected,
the SCHWIMMI may not be used for further.
