Quick Setup Guide and Operation

The Mytek Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core is designed to be easy to set up and use. Simply connect the unit to your network, follow the steps outlined in the quick start guide, and enjoy premium sound quality with seamless integration into your existing audio system.

To set up the Mytek Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core, follow these steps:

  • Connect the Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core to your home network using an Ethernet cable.
  • Open Roon Remote application on your iphone / ipad.
  • Launch the Roon software and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Roon account or log-in using your exisiting credentials.
  • In the Roon software go to Settings —> Extensions and enable “Mytek Extension”
  • Select the Mytek Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core as your audio output device.
  • Start streaming your music using the Roon software

The DAC operation is controlled by the Roon software, and there are no additional settings or configurations required

The Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core features a user-friendly main menu with intuitive icons to access all your music and settings. Here’s a brief overview of the main menu icons:

  • Current Playback: This icon provides easy access to current playback and its details
  • Roon : Keep all your playlists organized and at your fingertips with this icon. Simply tap to play your go-to songs and albums.
  • Preamp : Allows to quickly switch between the DAC’s inputs
  • Bluetooth : Play your favorite music in just few seconds using bluetooth
  • Settings : Fine-tune your Brooklyn Bridge II Roon Core experience. Adjust various settings, such as screen brightness and audio quality, to your personal preferences.

Current Playback
The ‚Current Playback’ icon provides quick and convenient access to information about the currently playing audio content. This includes the album cover image, as well as details such as the MQA icon indicating if the material being played is MQA-encoded, the current bitrate and sample rate, the current volume level, and a Roon icon that allows you to easily access your Roon playlists. With this feature, you can easily keep track of your audio content and adjust your settings as needed to optimize your listening experience

The ‚Roon’ icon provides easy access to your Roon music management software, allowing you to keep all your playlists organized and at your fingertips. With Roon, you can access your entire music library and create custom playlists based on your personal preferences. You can easily browse through your music by album, artist, genre, or other criteria, and quickly find the songs or albums you want to hear. You can also add songs or albums to your queue, which allows you to easily play them in the order you want. In addition, the Roon icon allows you to manage multiple zones in your home, so you can enjoy your music in any room you want. You can control the music playback in each zone, adjust the volume levels, and even group multiple zones together to synchronize the music playback. With Roon, you have complete control over your music listening experience, no matter where you are in your home.

Preamp
The ‚DAC Inputs’ icon allows you to quickly switch between the different inputs of your digitalto-analog converter (DAC), making it easy to select the input you want to use for your audio playback. This feature lets you connect multiple audio sources to your DAC and switch between them seamlessly, without having to unplug and replug cables.

In addition, the DAC Inputs feature allows you to control settings specific to each input. This means that you can adjust the settings for each audio source separately, to optimize the audio quality based on the characteristics of the particular input. For example, you may want to  adjust the volume trim or cartridge type for the phono input, or select a specific DAC filter tocompensate for the characteristics of the audio source.. With the DAC Inputs feature, you can fine-tune your audio playback to your specific preferences, no matter what audio source you are using.

Bluetooth
The ‚Bluetooth’ icon allows you to easily play your favorite music on your audio system via Bluetooth technology. With this feature, you can connect your Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as smartphones or tablets, to your audio system and stream music wirelessly in just a few seconds.  To get started, you’ll need to pair your Bluetooth-enabled device with your audio system. This is asimple process that typically involves selecting your audio system from the list of available devices on your smartphone or tablet, and entering a pairing code if necessary. Once your device is paired, you can stream music from your device to your audio system with just a few taps. When you’re done listening, you can easily unpair your device from your audio system to disconnect the Bluetooth connection. This feature is especially convenient if you have multiple Bluetoothenabled devices that you want to use with your audio system, as it allows you to switch between them quickly and easily. With the Bluetooth feature, you can enjoy your music collection without the hassle of wires or cables, and stream music from your favorite apps and services with ease.
