Using Brooklyn Bridge II with external DAC
Our device is equipped with what we believe to be some of the best DACs
(Digital-to-Analog Converters) available on the market. However, if for any
reason you wish to use your previous DAC, or if you ‘interested in comparing
both devices, such an option is also possible in this streamer. Below is a
guide outlining the steps to stream music from Brooklyn Bridge using an
external digital-to-analog converter.Connect external DAC using USB cable and
plug it into Brooklyn Bridge’s USB 3.0 port. Make sure that both devices are
turned on.
Remember, if you want to stream music from the BBII using an external DAC, Brooklyn Bridge must be set in the default ‘built-in Roon Core’ mode. If you previously switched the function to External Roon Core, you will need to revert to the previous mode using the instructions in paragraph 5.
In Roon head to settings menu and choose ‘audio’ option
In Audio option slide down until you see your external DAC, click on ‘enable’.
You can also name it if you want.
