Make sure that the power  outlet is equipped with earth contact and that the electrical system follows current regulations.
In case of incompatibility between the socket and plug of the appliance, have the socket replaced with another of a suitable type by professionally qualified personnel. Do not  use single or multiple extension cords and adapters. It is recommended that the power outlet is protected by a 0.03 A (30mA) differential switch. We recommend connecting  an equipotential bonding conductor to the M5 clamp located nearby input of the appliance power cable. The clamp, if present, is identified with the symbol

Always unplug after each use, before cleaning and before storing. Never remove the plug from the socket for the connection cable. Do not let the connecting cable hang  down. Make sure that the connecting cable does not touch the hot device.

The temperature of hot surfaces can be remarkably high when the appliance is working. Always use the handles and control knobs.
Before moving the appliance, let it cool down. Do not use if it has been exposed to temperatures below 0 ° C in the Previous 24 hours.

DEVICE CONNECTION, USAGE AND OPERATION

Contact Grill for commercial use only. This contact grill is an appliance with fixed and mobile heating surfaces intended for cooking solid food (e.g. Sandwiches, hamburgers,  meat, fish, vegetables, cheese). Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The panini plate is not suitable for flambé! Never spill liquid of any kind  on the food to be grilled or on the grid surfaces.
Insert the power plug into the power outlet. Increase the temperature of the heating surfaces by turning the knob clockwise. Reduce the temperature by turning the knob counterclockwise.
The orange light (2) when turned on, it displays the heating element operating time. The contact grill functions automatically through the adjustable thermostat with knob (1).  The temperature is kept steady at the set value once the steady state condition is reached.
In 3,5Kw models (provided with 2 switches) the right part of the grill is controlled by the right switch and the left part by the left switch.
After usage, always unplug it.

RECOMANDATIONS FOR USE

Always follow the requirements for safe use (CAP 2)
When grilling with closed plates, cooking time and energy consumption is reduced. The optimal cooking time depends on different factors, such as quality, freshness, weight,  thickness, consistency, and temperature of the food as well as individual preferences. The thinner and more sensitive to heat is the food, the lower the grill temperature and  the cooking time required. For example, for the preparation of simple sandwiches, a temperature of 230 ° C is sufficient. Occasionally check the state of cooking of the food on the grill.
Set temperatures above 260 ° C only in exceptional cases and only during the actual cooking time to avoid excessive stress on the heating elements. The surface of the plate  must rest on the food as evenly as possible.
It is possible to adjust the distance and inclination of the upper plate to that of the lower plate. To do so, first grasp the upper plate from the handle on the lid adjustment lever (4).
Lower the upper plate to the desired position on the food to be grilled, then leave it carefully. Do not press the upper plate on the food to be grilled, especially with marinated  foods. This allows steam to come out causing risk of burns!
It is best to use wooden tools to place, turn and remove food from grilling or heat resistant plastic tools. Do not cut or scrape objects with sharp edges on the surfaces of the  grill since they could be damaged.
As soon as the set temperature is reached (after 10-15 minutes) the light goes out and it will be then kept steady. You can now place the food to be grilled on the bottom  surface of the grill (5) and gently lower the top plate (6) onto the lid bracket (4).
Adjust the temperature by turning the thermostat knob (1) clockwise (higher temperature) or counterclockwise (lower temperature).
Carefully open the top plate (6) from the lid bracket (4) completely before turning or removing food. Turn off the device after each use using the thermostat knob (1) and the  on / off switch (2) and remove the power plug.
The contact pressure is preset for the most common applications but can be changed if necessary.
To do this, turn the two screws (7) on the bottom of the lid bracket holder evenly with one 8 mm hex key on the cold device: the contact pressure increases when the screws are loosened.
Contact pressure is reduced when screws are tightened. When a new device is heated for first time, there may be a slight development of smoke and odor, which is harmless and no longer occurs after the first cleaning.

CLEANING

Always follow the safety instructions!
Before cleaning the device, pull out the plug and allow it to cool down to a room temperature. The plate is not water jet proof and therefore should not be cleaned with this  system. Never clean the device under running water. Do not immerse the device in water. Never put the device in the dishwasher. Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not use  aggressive cleaners and abrasives. Hold the cover firmly when cleaning the plate surfaces so that the device does not tip over.
The surfaces of the grill have a special ceramic coating and are therefore easier to clean. In order to maintain the grilling properties of the contact grill, all surfaces must be  cleaned regularly and carefully. Remove food and fat residues from the plates after each use. Empty the grease tray (1) after each use, then clean it with warm water, a delicate detergent and a sponge or soft cloth.
You can remove food from the surface of the grill with a wooden spoon and first push it into the grease tray.
Dirt can also be removed with the included cleaning brush, but this should be done only in exceptional cases to protect the plates. Therefore, it is best not to let it dry food  residues on the grill. Finally, clean the grill surfaces with a clean cloth moistened with clean water.
After cleaning, carefully dry all parts of the device with a dampened, soft cloth. Keep the clean plate in a dry and frost-free place.

In case handle lifting becomes noisy, you can pour a few drops of oil into the two rear holes in correspondence with the word OIL.
