NOTIFIER ONYX Series NCS Network Control Station

General

The NOTIFIER Network Control Station (NCS) is a high-performance desktop computer with text and color graphics display capability of all network events and points. The NCS runs under the user-friendly Windows® environment. The NCS is an ideal addition to NOTI·FIRE·NETTM (see Ordering Information for version compatibility) when network monitoring and control are required.

NCS Software Features

  • Windows® XPProfessional operating system.
  • Pager interface.
  • Mouse control with extensive use of Windows-style “point and click” operation.
  • Vectors to a screen displaying an alarm with or without operator intervention.
  • Cursor changes automatically to indicate on-screen action areas.
  • New and Acknowledged Event boxes display all off-normal status simultaneously with graphic screens.
  • Operator log-on with response tracking.
  •  History Manager records operator, event, and response with time-and-date stamp to hard drive.
  • Multiple search filters make History Manager a powerful management tool.
  • An unlimited number of events can be stored in the history manager. A warning is generated every 100 events after 100,000 events are stored.
  • A complete library of device icons is included.
  • Custom device icons can be created in the field.
  •  Add, edit, and delete devices and screens in the field.
  • complete library of HAZMAT and information labels for identifying areas that present an extra hazard to personnel.
  • Link devices or system events to voice (*.wav), text, or bitmap files.
  • All software backed up on CD-RW/DVD-ROM.
  • Read Status/Program/Edit window ­ network points (online).
  • Walk-test over the network (NFS2-3030, NFS-3030, NFS640, and NFS-320 only).
  • Software Version window ­ obtain software version numbers for network panels (NFS2-3030, NFS-3030, NFS-640, NFS-320, NCA, NCS, NWS, and BACnet Gateway).
  • Secure DesktopTM is bundled with NCS and allows the installer to restrict access to the Windows® XP Pro workstation.
  • Microsoft® Excel 2000 is bundled with the NCS to fully utilize the spreadsheet option when running VeriFire® Tools.
  • Up to five states can be visually represented for each input device: Normal, Trouble, Alarm, Pre-Alarm (detectors), Disabled.
  • Up to four states can be visually represented for each output device: Normal, Trouble, Active, Disabled.
  • Up to two states can be visually represented for each System Trouble: Normal, Trouble.
  • Off-Normal Event window (color coded).
  • Network-wide Disabled Device window.
  • Mini-History viewer, last 1,000 events (color coded).
  • Upload/Download NFS2-3030, NFS-3030, NFS2-640, NFS-640, NFS-320, NCA, AM2020, and AFP1010 databases over the network.
  • Download NFS2-3030, NFS-3030, NFS2-640, NFS-640, NFS-320, NCA-2, and NCM application code over the network.
  •  Login/Logout/Change Password.

WARRANTY: The PC and monitors are warranted from date of purchase for a period of 12 months. Please refer to NOTIFIER’s Limited Warranty Policy for additional information.
Minimum NCS equipment options/requirements are available for versions 5.0, 4.0, and 3.0 as follows:

NCS5-W-ONYX: NCS version 5.9 for wire network. With mouse, 19″ color flat-screen LCD monitor, graphics capability, and an NCS-NCWPCA version 2.0.
NCS5-F-ONYX: NCS version 5.9 for fiber network. With mouse, 19″ color flat-screen LCD monitor, graphics capability, and an NCS-NCFPCA version 2.0.
NCA-2: Network Control Annunciator version 14.1.
NCA: Network Control Annunciator version minimum 3.0.
AM2020: Requires version 4.3 (or higher) firmware for DIA and CPU; version version 4.3 (or higher) LIB; and 5.81 firmware for SIB (AROM5.0M-SIB).
