Scope
This device is designed to break electrical circuits and reduce the risk of electrocution when a sudden rise in the electrical current or current leakage occurs. This may be caused by a current surge or damage to the electrical cable. This product is ideal for working with electric home, garden or workshop tools where there is a risk that the power cable may be cut.

Important: An RCD is not a substitute for normal precautionary measures. -
ALWAYS unplug the RCD and connected appliances from the circuit before carrying out inspections.

Keep out of reach of children. – DO NOT allow children to access or tamper with electrical sockets.

DO NOT use this device in environments in which smoke, chemicals, flammable or explosive fumes or salt-laden spray are present.

Inspect and test the device before EVERY use.
WARNING! DO NOT use this product if it is visibly damaged or you suspect it has been dropped. Contact Draper Tools for support. -
If the device repeatedly trips when an appliance is connected or fails to trip when tested, seek advice from a qualified electrician or contact Draper Tools for support.
WARNING! DO NOT continue to use the device if you believe it to be faulty. -
Use and store this product ONLY in ambient temperatures between -5°C and +40°C.

DO NOT expose this product to wet or humid conditions or immerse it in liquid.

ALWAYS plug the RCD directly into the mains outlet, even if an extension cable is used, to ensure all connected appliances and cables are protected.

ALWAYS switch off the power outlet and remove the RCD when not it use.
Operation
Important: Inspect and test the device before EVERY use.

Ensure that the mains outlet is switched off and insert the RCD.

Switch the power on and press the RESET button. The electricity is now on and the RCD indicator is red.

Press the TEST button. The RCD breaks the electrical circuit and the indicator is clear.
Important: The power outlet remains active until it is manually switched off. -
If the test has been completed successfully, connect the required appliance to the RCD outlet and press the RESET button to restore the current.
Important: If the RCD trips and disables the current, switch off the connected appliance and inspect the power cable for signs of damage. Press the RCD RESET button to restore the current. If the RCD trips repeatedly, switch off the appliance and the power outlet and seek professional advice.
Product Care and Disposal
Important: ALWAYS switch off the power outlet and remove the RCD from the circuit before inspecting or maintaining the product.
- Clean this product using a dry cloth ONLY. — DO NOT use solvents or other aggressive substances as they may damage plastic or insulated parts.
- Ensure that the pin sockets are kept clear of dust and debris.
- Remove the device from the power outlet when not in use.
- Store this product in a clean and dry environment, out of reach of children.
At the end of its working life, dispose of the product responsibly and in line with local regulations. Recycle where possible.
DO NOT dispose of this product with domestic waste; most local authorities provide appropriate recycling facilities.
