Turn your original Bose 1 SoundDock Bluetooth on with the LAYEN BS-1. You will be able to wirelessly stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

Connecting Instruction

• Set the docking station on and connect firmly to the 30-pin connection.
• The blue light will blink on and off and the BS-1 will emit a sound.
• In order for your device to connect to the BS-1, turn on Bluetooth.
• Important: As your device searches for it, keep pressing the play/pause button on the side of the BS-1. Your device will then display BS-1; choose it to pair.
• While pairing, keep the BS-1 and your Bluetooth device within 1 m of one another. Then, you may space them up to 10 meters apart.
• Enter “0000” if asked for a password.
• If your device asks you to manually connect, choose yes.
• A sound and the blue LED light remaining steady blue are signs of a successful coupling.
• While the period for pairing is short, give it up to a minute. Again, depending on the gadget being utilized, this could change.
• You are now prepared to wirelessly stream your music. Please make sure that the docking station’s and your device’s volume is both turned up.

Troubleshooting

• Disconnected
  When you return to the 10 m range after leaving it, the BS-1 will automatically reconnect. You will only need to connect once because the BS-1 will remember your device (but you will need to leave your Bluetooth on).

• Lack of Power
  Make sure your dock is linked to the mains and not powered by a battery if the receiver doesn’t turn on or the lights don’t flash. By attaching a 30-pin iPhone / iPod charging cable to the BS-1, you can verify that electricity is reaching the device.

• No Pairing
  If you’re experiencing difficulties pairing, check to see whether you’ve depressed the pairing button on the side for long enough for the BS-1 to show up under Bluetooth devices on your phone (or other devices), then choose to pair. During pairing, please keep the BS-1 and your device no more than one meter apart.

• Pairing with a Different Device
  There shouldn’t be any complications while linking different devices. But, if you do encounter this, we ask that you perform a quick reset. Ignore the BS-1 on both (all) of the devices.
