IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Danger of scalding. Please use caution when using the steam function.
The steam emitted is very hot!
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:

WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:

1. Use the system only for its intended use.
2. DO NOT use outdoors. Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
3. DO NOT leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when not is use.
4. DO NOT allow the appliance to be used by children. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children, pets or plants.
5. DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord, or if the unit has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance on your own. Return the appliance to EURO-PRO Operating LLC (see warranty) for examination and repair. Incorrect re-assembly or repair can cause a risk of electrical shock or injury to persons when the appliance is used.
6. Use only as described in this manual.
7. Use only manufacturer’s recommended accessories and replacement pads.
8. To protect against a risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the appliance into water or any other liquids.
9. DO NOT use for space heating purposes.
10. DO NOT handle plug or appliance with wet hands or operate the appliance without shoes.
11. DO NOT pull or carry by power cord, use power cord as a handle, close a door on the power cord, or pull the power cord around sharp edges or corners. DO NOT run the appliance over the power cord. Keep power cord away from heated surfaces.
12. DO NOT unplug by pulling on the power cord. To unplug, grasp the plug not the power cord. DO NOT use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity.
13. DO NOT put any objects into the unit openings. DO NOT use the unit if any opening
is blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
14. DO NOT put hands or feet under the Vac or Steam™. Unit gets very hot and may cause burns.
15. Use only on flat, horizontal surfaces. DO NOT use on walls, counters or windows.
16. DO NOT use on leather, wax polished furniture and floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate, steam sensitive materials.
17. DO NOT add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this appliance as this may damage the unit or make it unsafe for use and void the warranty. If you live in hard water areas, we recommend using distilled water in your Vac or Steam™.
18. When in use, NEVER turn the appliance over or on its side. NEVER DIRECT STEAM
TOWARDS PEOPLE, ANIMALS OR PLANTS.
19. NEVER LEAVE THE STEAM NOZZLE IN ANY ONE SPOT ON ANY SURFACE FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME WHEN THE MULTI-PURPOSE PAD IS ATTACHED.

20. Carefully remove the multi-purpose pad after you have unplugged and allowed the appliance to cool.
21. When cleaning the appliance, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and clean with a dry or damp cloth. DO NOT pour water or use alcohol, benzene or paint thinner on the unit.
22. Extreme caution should be exercised when using this appliance to clean stairs.
23. Never use the steam function without the multi-purpose pad attached.
24. Keep your work area well lit.
25. Store appliance indoors in a dry, cool place.
26. To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another appliance on the same socket (circuit) as the cleaning unit.
27. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, an extension cord rated a minimum of 15 ampere, 14-gage cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the power cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
28. DO NOT store the unit with a wet/damp multi-purpose pad attached,
29. DO NOT use the vacuum function without the dust cup or filters in place.
30. DO NOT vacuum any liquids.
31. DO NOT pick up anything that is burning or smoking such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
32. To reduce the risk of fire, do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use vacuum in areas where flammable or combustible fumes may be present.
33. DO NOT pick up toxic solutions such as chlorine bleach, ammonia or drain cleaner
with the appliance.
34. DO NOT use in an enclosed space where vapors are present from paint, paint thinner, mothproofing substances, flammable dust or other explosive or toxic materials.
35. DO NOT run the vacuum nozzle over large sized objects.
36. DO NOT pick up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws or coins that could damage the appliance.
37. DO NOT place the appliance on unstable surfaces such as chairs or tables.
38. DO NOT allow the appliance to be used as a toy.
39. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
40. Place appliance in stand-by mode before unplugging the Vac or Steam™.

WARNING : The steam nozzle is designed to clean non-carpeted, sealed hard floor surfaces that will withstand high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors, on surfaces that have been treated with wax or on some no wax floors.
The sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. We also recommend that you check the use and care instructions provided by the floor manufacturer.

POLARIZED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this vacuum cleaner has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT force into outlet or try to modify to fit.

ASSEMBLY

The Vac or Steam™ has two operating modes

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
1. Insert the handle into the body.
2. Secure the handle in place with the screw provided.
3. Wrap the power cord around the cord holders and secure the plug to the cord.

VACUUM MODE ASSEMBLY
4. Place the body of the unit on top of the vacuum nozzle and press down to secure.
5. Insert the crevice/brush combo tool onto the tool holder.

STEAM MODE ASSEMBLY
6. Press the nozzle release button to remove the vacuum nozzle and install the steam nozzle.
7. Press the main body of the unit on top of the steam nozzle and press down to make sure that the steam nozzle is firmly inserted.
8. Place the multi-purpose steam pad on the floor and position the steam nozzle over it. The steam nozzle and the multi-purpose pad must be attached to the cleaning unit in order to use the steam function.

ASSEMBLY

VACUUM MODE

CARPET CLEANING:
1. Plug the vacuum in.
2. The vacuum is in standby mode when the carpet light blinks blue.
3. Step on the foot pedal to engage the brush roll.
The carpet light will turn solid blue.
4. Tilt unit back to start vacuuming.

BARE FLOOR CLEANING:
5. Step on the foot pedal to switch to bare floor mode. The brush roll will turn off and the bare floor light will now be solid blue.
6. Step on the foot pedal again to return to standby mode

ABOVE FLOOR CLEANING:
7. Turn the hose at the back of the unit to the left or right to unlock.
8. Insert the crevice/brush combo tool onto the hose.
9. To use the crevice tool, press the latch on the crevice nozzle and slide the brush down to expose the crevice nozzle.
10. To replace the accessory hose, insert the hose into the back of the vacuum and push down to lock in place.

MAINTENANCE – VACUUM MODE

EMPTY THE DUST CUP
For best results empty the dust cup after each use; empty several times during prolonged usage or when it reaches the MAX fill line. Never over-fill the dust cup.
1. Press the dust cup release and pull the dust cup out.
2. Holding the dust cup over a garbage bag or can, press the button at the bottom of the dust cup to empty.
3. Close the bottom trap door.
4. Replace the dust cup into the vacuum body.

CLEAN THE DUST SCREEN
1. Press the dust cup release and pull the dust cup out.
5. Press the top dust cup lid latch to access the dust screen.
6. Remove the built-up debris and replace into the dust cup.
7. Replace dust cup back into the vacuum body

CLEAN THE FILTERS
See cleaning schedule on page 2
1. With the dust cup removed, remove and rinse the two foam filters every month. Hand wash only. Let air dry completely before replacing.
Tap loose dirt off filters between washes as needed. Replace into the vacuum body making sure that the thick filter is on the top and the thin filter is on the bottom.
2. Once a year remove and rinse the HEPA filter. To access the HEPA filter, remove the main body from the vacuum head. Lift the HEPA filter out from the vacuum head. Hand wash only and let air dry completely before replacing.

CHECKING FOR BLOCKAGES – REMOVE AND INSPECT:

Check behind the dust cup for clogs.
4. VACUUM NOZZLE
Disconnect the vacuum nozzle and turn it over to inspect the bottom. Remove any build-up of debris that may wound around the rotating brush by carefully cutting with scissors.

STEAM MODE

Always vacuum your bare floors before using the steam mode

1. Turn the water fill cap counter clockwise to open and using the filling flask, pour water into the water reservoir. Do not overfill. Replace the water fill cap by turning it clockwise to tighten.
2. Once the unit is plugged in, the LED lights on the steam nozzle will begin to flash blue in a chasing manner.
3. Step on the foot pedal once to enter DUST mode, twice to enter MOP mode and three times to enter SCRUB mode. See the chart on page 11 to help determine the steam setting required.
4. After selecting the desired steam mode, tilt the handle of the unit back to begin steam cleaning.
NOTE : Steam will only be released when the unit is tilted back.
5. The steam pads are designed with scrubbing strips. For stubborn stains, tilt the unit to either the left or right to make use of the scrubbing strips.
6. Stepping on the foot pedal a fourth time will return the unit to STANDBY mode.

CARE OF THE STEAM CLEANER
1. Calcium and mineral deposits can build-up and impact the performance of the Vac or Steam™ over time. To extend the life of your product, we recommend that you use distilled water

CARE OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE PAD
2. Wash separately from other fabrics. Use only liquid fabric detergent. Do not use fabric softeners. Line dry or dry on low dryer setting.
3. If there are loose threads, cut them with scissors, do not pull on them or cut them at the base.

CAUTION : The cleaning pad may be very hot from the steam. Use caution when removing.
Let the unit cool for 2-3 minutes before removing.

HELPFUL TIPS

CORD HOOKS
1. For quick cord access, rotate upper hook 180° and remove cord. Rotate it back for cord storage.

FILTERS
2. Remember to clean your filters regularly under normal use. Also, for optimal performance, tap clean filters between washes as needed.

CARPET GLIDER
3. If your unit includes a Carpet Glider, it can be used with the steam nozzle to lightly steam and revive your carpet and area rugs. Just place the steam nozzle with the multi-purpose cleaning pad attached into the glider. The recommended steam setting is SCRUB when using the Carpet Glider.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

The Vac or Steam™ will not turn on

  • Make sure the steam or vacuum nozzle is attached correctly.
  • Check the fuse or breaker.
  • Make sure the unit is plugged into a 120V AC electrical outlet only.

The Vac or Steam™ will not make steam

  • Make sure there is water in the water tank.
  • Attach multi-purpose pad and steam nozzle to the unit.
  • Tilt the handle back to generate steam.

The Vac or Steam™ leaves water on the floor

  • The multi-purpose pad has absorbed too much water. Replace with a new or dry multi-purpose pad.
  • Make sure the multi-purpose pad is attached correctly.
  • Wait for 30 seconds after selecting the steam setting before mopping, allowing the water to heat to 212°F sanitizing steam. If the unit is not allowed to heat properly, some water may be emitted.

The Vac or Steam™ is hard to push

  • Make sure the multi-purpose pad is attached correctly.
  • Check to see if the multi-purpose is excessively dirty or wet. Replace with a new or dry multi-purpose pad.

The Vac or Steam™ is not picking up dirt

  • Check the filters to see if they need to be cleaned.
  • Dust cup may be full. Empty the dust cup.
  • Check the vacuum nozzle or the intake hose for blockages.
  • Check the brush roll on the vacuum nozzle and remove any debris that may be blocking it.

The Vac or Steam™ turns off on its own

The Vac or Steam™ is equipped with a protective thermostat. If for some reason our appliance overheats, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur, perform the following steps to restart the motor thermostat:

1. Step on the foot pedal until it goes to standby mode.
2. Unplug the unit.
3. Empty the dust cup and clean the filters.
4. Check for blockages in hose, accessories, and inlet openings.
5. Allow the unit to cool for a minimum of 45 minutes.
6. Plug in the unit.
7. Step on the foot pedal to select the vacuum mode and tilt the handle back to start vacuuming.

THREE-YEAR (3) LIMITED WARRANTY

EURO-PRO Operating LLC warrants this product to be free from material defects and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase when utilized for normal household use, subject to the following conditions, exclusions and exceptions.

The liability of EURO-PRO Operating LLC is limited solely to the cost of the repair or replacement of the unit at our option. This Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear of parts and does not apply to any unit that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligent handling or damage due to faulty packaging or mishandling in transit. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by or resulting from damages from shipping or repairs, service or alteration to the product or any of its parts, which have been performed by a repair person not authorized by EURO-PRO Operating LLC.

If your appliance fails to operate properly while in use under normal household conditions within the warranty period, you may return the complete appliance and accessories with proof of purchase and date, freight prepaid. If the appliance is found by EURO-PRO Operating LLC to be defective, in EURO- PRO Operating LLC’s sole discretion, we will repair or replace it free of charge. Proof of purchase is required and a fee of $19.95 will apply to cover the cost of return freight.*
Non-durable parts including, without limitation, filters, brushes and electrical parts which normally require replacement are specifically excluded from warranty.

This Limited Warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the unit and excludes all other legal, implied and/or conventional warranties. The responsibility of EURO-PRO Operating LLC if any, is limited to the specific obligations expressly assumed by it under the terms of this Limited Warranty. In no event is EURO-PRO Operating LLC liable for incidental or consequential damages to anyone of any nature whatsoever. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.

  • IMPORTANT : Carefully pack item to avoid damage in shipping. Be sure to include proof of purchase date and to attach a tag to item before packing including your name, complete address and phone number with a note giving purchase information, model number and what you believe is the problem with the item. We recommend you insure the package (as damage in shipping is not covered by your warranty). Mark the outside of your package “ATTENTION CUSTOMER SERVICE”.
