HOW TO USE

(Standing, using a standard paddle board paddle.)

  • Stand in a comfortable stance with your feet shoulder width apart and keep your knees slightly bent, keep your shoulders back, and look straight ahead.
  • Grab your paddle and place one hand on top end of paddle palm down and your other hand approximately 24” down shaft of paddle. Paddle in a forward motion, with your arms slightly bent.
  • To turn left paddle on the right side of the SUP. To turn right paddle on the left side of the SUP.

When inflating for the first time, inflate indoors at room temperature – the PVC will be soft and assembly will be easier. If the item was stored below 0°C / 32°F, leave it at 20°C / 68°F for 12 hours before unfolding. Inflate it with the high pressure pump included with the board. This pump has an adapter to fit the flush valve.

CAUTION!
Using an air compressor will damage your product and automatically void all warranties.

INFLATING YOUR BOARD
Valve Operation: Inflation valve is located at the back of the board. The valve must be in the closed position for inflation to take place, make sure that the center valve pin is “up”. If valve pin is “down”, press down on the valve pin and turn it counterclockwise until it pops up to the closed position.Lock the valve cover over the valve stem once inflation is com-plete. This will prevent any accidental air from releasing or the entrance of any particles into the valve and interior air chamber.
INFLATION SEQUENCE

  1. Make sure that the valve pin is up and in the closed position.
  2. Make sure the pump hose is attached to the “inflate“ port of the pump handle.
  3. Connect the pump hose nozzle into the valve.
  4. Pump air into the SUP by pulling the pump handle up and down.
  5. Mount the fin(s) on the board.

Mounting the fin

The fin can be mounted before or after inflating the board.

  1. Place the back of the fin with the pin into the mounting on the board.
  2. Slide the fin backwards and push the front down.
  3. Lock the fin by pushing the lever down.

INFLATION TIPS AND PRECAUTIONS

  • The board can be inflated either with the included hand pump or an electric air pump. The electric air pump can inflate the board to a moderate pressure but
you will need to use your hand pump to inflate the air chamber to the correct 18-20 PSI.

  • Air compressors should NOT be used to inflate your SUP. Compressors generate to much pressure and will damage your SUP. Damage caused by over inflation from an air compressor is not and will not be covered by your warranty.

  • Always check pressure before use. Over time the air chamberwill lose air so it should always be checked.

  • Inflate the board for a full 24 hours to be sure the board is airtight before use. If you are seeing a dramatic decrease in air pressure, see the instructions for leak detection in the board repair section of this manual.

  • Do not over-inflate. Max pressure of 18-20 PSI is adequate.

  • Do not let the SUP sit in the sun for an extended time when under full pressure. If the SUP is going to be in a warm/hot or sunny environment, release some air pressure in the board. Before use reinflate to the proper PSI. Water temperature may also cause a slight loss in chamber pressure. It is good practice to place your SUP in the water for several minutes to let it adjust to its new environment and then recheck chamber pressure. It is a good idea to carry a pump and pressure gauge with you so that you can add some air to the chamber if necessary.

  • Check air pressure often with provided gauge.

WARNING!
If you leave your product exposed to the hot sun check the pressure and deflate it slightly, to avoid overstretching the material. The ambient temperature affects the board’s internal pressure: a variation of 1.8°F (1°C) causes a variation of the pressure in the tube of 0.06PSI (+/- 4 mBar).

DEFLATION SEQUENCE

  1. Clear any water or fragments out from around the valve area before removing valve cover.
  2. Press down on the valve pin to let air out of the SUP. Once air starts to release you can press the valve pin in all the way and turn it clockwise to the open locked position.
  3. Remove the fin(s). Leave the valve open while you roll it up towards the valve.
  4. Close the valve to prevent moisture and debris from being sucked inside as the air re-enters while you let go of the SUP
  5. Cinch the tightly rolled up board with the belt-strap included.
  6. Never leave a wet board in a bag for more than one or two days. As soon as possible unroll it and let it dry.
  7. Use fresh water for cleaning the SUP. Stubborn stains can be cleaned with a mild soap detergent.

BOARD CARE AND STORAGE

When storing Your Stand Up Paddleboard, avoid storing in direct sunlight or in harsh weather conditions.

  • Before storing, hose off the SUP with fresh water and let it dry completely to prevent mildew buildup.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning.
  • Stubborn stains can be cleaned with a mild soap detergent.
  • Storage of the SUP can be inflated or deflated.
  • If storing the SUP outdoors, Keep it off the ground and covered with a tarp to prevent exposure to the elements.
  • Hanging the SUP is not recommend.
  • Do not store in extreme hot or cold conditions.
  • Be sure to store your SUP in a clean, dry area.

Should it ever become necessary to repair your SUP, please use the patches provided. Please use any good PVC cement available in hardware stores. Many states have laws preventing us from mailing glue.

DETECTION OF LEAKS AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
Your new stand up paddleboard is made from a durable PVC. If a tear or puncture does occur, PVC is very easy to repair. Repairs are easily done with your included patch kit. Read the following paragraphs for leak detection and repair tips.

LEAK DETECTION
If you are experiencing air pressure loss, not caused by colder temperatures, you need to check the board for leaks, starting with the valve location. To locate a leaks, we recom-mend mixing soap and water in a spray bottle. Spray around the valve. If you see bubbles forming, check your valve seating and base and be sure the valve insert is screwed tight or make sure the valve pin is in the fully up position and the valve is free from any debris keeping the pin from fully closing. If you continue to have problems you may need to order a new valve. The valve can be tightened or removed and replaced with the valve wrench tool that comes with the SUP.
If the board is losing air and it is not in the valve location, you probably have a small hole. Small holes can be repaired easily. Spray around the board until air bubbles become visible then mark the location of the leak. If you do not find air bubbles, inflate the board to maximum pressure and try to listen for leaks.

REPAIRS
You can repair small punctures with the PVC patches supplied (Note: Glue not included). Use a PVC type of glue found at hardware or sporting goods stores for repairs). Please note that in order for the repair to be successful, the humidity level should be less than 60%, and the temperature between 18°C/64.4°F and 25° C/77°F. Avoid carrying out repairs in the rain or in direct sunlight.
Check that the tube is fully deflated and lies flat.

  1. Cut a round patch at least 2” / 5 cm larger than the damaged area.
  2. Clean the damaged area and the corresponding side of the patch with an alcohol-based grease remover and allow it to dry for 5 minutes.
  3. Apply 3 thin layers of glue to both the patch and the damaged area; allow it to dry for 5 minutes between layers until the glue feels tacky.
  4. When the third layer of glue is dry, apply the patch without pressing down, and adjust the position if required. Remove any air bubbles which may have formed under the patch by smoothing the patch with a round object such as a spoon. Start in the centre of the patch and work towards the outside. Clean off the excess glue with a solvent. Drying: 12 hours.

WARNING!
Perform repairs in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid inhaling glue vapours or swallowing the glue. Avoid contact with the skin or the eyes.
Keep all repair materials (glue, solvents, etc.) out of the reach of children.
