User Guide
LX9-LF900 Compression Pumps
| Place the device somewhere easily accessible. You may wear non-bulky
clothes under the LX9-LF900 sleeve.| Plug your power lead in, ensuring it is
not a trip hazard. (Often you will need to visit the bathroom during
treatment due to the fluid extraction).
Connect cuff hose to the device and the smaller end of the hose to the
cuff.| Position your body on a bed or couch where yourleg/s is/are elevated
and supported.| Place your leg into the sleeve by unzipping it part-way.
If you have an adjustable arment with an extension zipper: Add the extension
zipper/s before putting the garment on. Overlapping garments cannot be widened
in this method.| Fasten cuff zip and Velcro tabs.| Turn the controller on by
pressing “Power”.
Adjust the settings to match those
prescribed by your healthcare professional.
To adjust Pressure/Time/Speed:
Tap the arrow icon to select the setting. Turn
the +/- dial to change the value.| To change the Mode:
Press the Mode arrow icon to change the
selection. Keep tapping to cycle through
modes A – D, until your required mode is
highlighted.
If no settings have been prescribed, start with the settings displayed above.
Pressure 40mmHg
Time 60min
Speed 4
Mode B
Press the start button.
To stop therapy at any time,
press the Start button again.| When therapy is complete, turn off the power
button and unzip your garment.
Whilst the compression pump is running please
read the ‘Settings Navigation Guide.’
Allow the device run for at least 10 minutes after
each change for the full effect to be felt.| If you wish to clean the garment
at any time, simply use warm soapy water or Clinell wipes.
These specific cleaning wipes can be purchased from Medi-Rent and do not
contain alcohol like many other sanitising wipes which can damage
the garments. Do not place in washing machine or dryer.

Be advised by your Health Professional on setting selection, pressure and duration.
Always check your body for any pressure areas after treatment. If using the pump for prolonged periods adhere to pressure area prevention techniques such as changing position regularly and sitting/lying on a supportive surface.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USING A COMPRESSION PUMP**- Known or suspected deep vein thrombosis
- Pulmonary embolism
- Thrombophlebitis
- Cellulitis or other infection not treated with antibiotics
- Uncontrolled/severe cardiac failure
- Pulmonary oedema
- Active metastatic disease affecting oedematous region

If you have an adjustable garment with an extension zipper: Add the extension
zipper/s before putting the garment on. Overlapping garments cannot be
widened in this way.| Ensure the garment is right up on your
shoulder. The garment needs to be held in place before you begin, but once
inflated it will stay in position independently.| Turn the controller on by
pressing “Power”.

zip up the side.
The garment provides 3 different
sizes depending on which zippers are
selected. You may also further widen the
garment with extra extension pieces (sold
seperately).| Lie down comfortably on your bed.| Turn the controller on by
pressing “Power”.
