Intended Use

The Bionix® Health at Home Ear Wax Removal Kit is intended to be used for ear irrigation

Indications for Use

The Bionix® Health at Home Ear Wax Removal Kit is used for
removing wax build-up from the ear canal for persons ages
6 months or older

Contraindications

• The person has previously had complications following ear irrigation procedures.
• There is a history of a middle ear infection in the last six weeks.
• There is discharge from the ear canal or ear pain or tenderness.
• The person has or suspects an ear drum perforation.
• The person has had ANY form of ear surgery.
• The person has cleft palate, repaired or not.
• The person has tubes.
• There is a foreign body present in the ear canal.
• There is a history of inner ear problems (especially vertigo).

Warnings

• Use only warm water (98°F – 104°F / 37°C – 40°C) to reduce the risk of dizziness or vertigo.
• If pain or discharge occurs see your physician.
• Three-Stream Tips are intended for single person use only.
• Ear Drying Sponges are intended for single use only.
• CHOKING HAZARD. Contains small parts

For ages 6 months and older.

Bionix® Health at Home Ear Wax Removal Kit Assembly Instructions

1. Open the box and remove 1 Three-Stream Tip, the Spray Bottle and the Spray Head.
2. Hold the Spray Bottle firmly and fill it with warm water (98OF – 104OF / 37OC – 40OC).
3. After filling, place the water reservoir on a secure, stable platform.
4. Grab the head and guide the tube into the opening on the Spray Bottle until fully inserted.
5. Point the head and wand in the same direction as the larger end of the Spray Bottle base. 06.Secure the head with one hand and rotate the blue fastening ring at the base of the head clockwise until tight.
6. Take the Three-Stream Tip (as shown below) and twist onto the luer lock fitting of the adapter until it stops.

Bionix® Health at Home Ear Wax Removal Kit Use Instructions

1. Prime the unit by spraying water from the bottle into a sink.

2. Insert the Three-Stream Tip fully into the ear canal and place a basin beneath the outer ear to capture draining water.

3. Spray water from the bottle to irrigate the ear and repeatedly spray as needed.

4. When you are finished irrigating the ear, remove the Three Stream Tip from the ear and remove it from the adapter.
   a. NOTE: Do not use the Three-Stream Tip on another individual – the Three- Stream Tip is intended for single person use only.

5. Remove a single blue Ear Drying Sponge from its package.

6. Insert one of the ends of the Ear Drying Sponge into the ear and hold it in place for 10 seconds.

7. Remove the Ear Drying Sponge from the ear. If water is still in the ear, rotate the Ear Drying Sponge and insert the dry tip into the ear.

8. Hold the Ear Drying Sponge in the ear for 10 seconds.

9. Remove the Ear Drying Sponge from the ear and discard.

10. If water remains in the ear, repeat the process with a new Ear Drying Sponge until the water is removed.
    

Cleaning the Bionix® Health at Home Ear Wax Removal Kit Spray Bottle

It is recommended to clean the Spray Bottle daily following the procedure below.

1. Prepare a solution of dishwashing liquid and water.
2. Ensure the Spray Bottle and Spray Head are completely drained of water.
3. Wash the outside of the Spray Bottle and Spray Head with the dishwashing solution.
4. Detach the Spray Head, fill the Spray Bottle with the dishwashing solution and reattach the Spray Head.
5. Shake the Spray Bottle and pump until soapy water discharges.
6. Rinse the outside of the Spray Bottle with water until all suds are removed.
7. Remove the Spray Head from the Spray Bottle and empty the dishwashing solution from the bottle.
8. Rinse and refill the Spray Bottle with water and repeat until no suds are visible in the bottle’s discharged rinse water.
9. With the Spray Bottle filled with water, reattach the Spray Head.
10. Pump the Spray Head until no suds are evident in the discharged rinse water.
11. Remove the Spray Head from the bottle.
12. Drain all water from the bottle.
13. Dry the outer surfaces of the bottle & Spray Head and leave them separated to allow complete drying.
14. Clean the ear basin using the same solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
