OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND FULLY COMPLY WITH ALL WARNINGS. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THIS PRODUCT, PERSONAL PROPERTY AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY.

  1. Connect the recovery strap to the machine /vehicle that is disabled / stuck by threading the end of the recovery strap through the vehicle’s tow hook. Some vehicles have a hidden hook location behind a small square piece of plastic that is removable.
CAUTION: Attaching the strap to other parts could risk tearing them off or warping them.

  2.  Attach the other end of the strap to the vehicle you are using to pull with. Many vehicles have hooks or loops you can use to do this. You can also use a trailer hitch receiver with a bolt/pin as shown. Refer to the service manual for your specific vehicle if you are unsure of where to locate the best location for towing.

  3. Once the strap is attached to both vehicles, drive very slowly to take out the extra slack in the strap. Once the strap is taut, slowly accelerate at very low speed until the disabled vehicle is free. Sudden tugs may lead to damage to either of the vehicles or the strap.

WARNING

  • ANSI approved eye protection to be worn at all times during use.
  • DO NOT use strap that has fraying, wear, broken or worn stitching, tears, cuts or defective hardware. If the strap is damaged DO NOT use it and discard it.
  • DO NOT exceed the working load limit of the strap; taking into account the strap, the load, the vehicle anchor points, strap configuration and angle, etc.
  • DO NOT over-tighten straps.
  • NEVER stand in direct path of a tension loaded strap.
  • Maintain and store straps properly. Straps should be protected from mechanical, chemical and environmental damage.
  •  ALWAYS protect straps in contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive surfaces with materials of sufficient strength, thickness and construction to prevent damage.
  • Manufacturer is not liable for accidents caused by material deterioration or improper use.
