  2. Operation method After switch to the Range mode,single-point Power button again to measure. (The laser rangefinder will auto power-off if no operation within 8 seconds.)

Placing the aiming circle (located in the center of view) on a target over than 5 yards away, press Power button and release quickly. The range and angle, horizontal distance reading will be displayed on LCD.
The upper part of LCD shows the angle of uphill I downhill then change to the horizontal distance that is the true distance.
Speed mode

  1. Look at LCD through the eyepiece, then single-click the “Mode” button to switch to Speed mode, you will see the display as below picture.
Tips: Make sure that the “Spd” logo is displayed on the left side of the screen, as shown on the right.

  2. Operation method Single-click the”POWER”button to aim at target B and move slightly, the speed of the movement can be measured accordingly, “spd” is always displayed during measurement.

Notice:
Aiming circle *should be aligned on target until aiming circle stops flash, meantime gets target’s speed. ” a “must be less than 10° the smaller the angle, the higher the accuracy of speed.
Scan mode (Continuous scan)

  1. Look at LCD through the eyepiece, then single-click the “Mode” button to switch to Scan mode, you will see the display as below picture.

  2. Operation method Continuous scanning: Press and hold the “POWER” button to keep moving and measure the distance.”scan” is always displayed during measurement. The center circle will flash when moving, and the angle and straight line distance will change with the target, and no compensation distance will be displayed at this time. The angle, horizontal distance and straight line distance of the last target will be displayed when the continuous scanning is completed.
Tips: When measuring targets in bad hunting weather, it is recommended to use the scan mode.

Hunting Mode Instruction
Straight-line distance between hunter and prey is 32 yards, angle is -44-degree, horizontal distance is 23 yards. You should shoot as 23 yards instead of 32 yards. You will shoot over the top of deer if you shoot as 32 yards because of the angle.
Bow-hunters want to know true horizontal distance because that is how they practice shooting, and once they confidently know that, they can make any necessary adjustments. Giving the bow-hunter anything else other than horizontal distance creates additional confusion and uncertainty.
Many people mistakenly believe that uphill shots perform differently from downhill shots because of gravity. However, it is not due to gravity, but more of an aberration of the sighting system used on bows. The sighting pin on a bow resides inches above the mechanical axis of the arrow. For example, when one is aiming 23 degree up an incline, the arrow is at a different angle.

HOW TO WORK AND RANGING ACCURACY

The HX-1100V range finder emits invisible, eye safe, infrared energy pulses. Sophisticated digital technology instantaneously calculates distances by measuring the time, which it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder to the target and back to rangefinder.
The color, surface smoothness, size and sharpness of target will affect its reflectivity and range. It is difficult to test in the following conditions and environments: Raining or fogging 1 the target is too small I Low reflectivity of the measured object (black color, complex shape, curved surface, water surface, glass surface, mirror surface. etc.) I Low battery.
