PRODUCT INFORMATION
- The diagrams and drawings in this manual are simplified and contain only details necessary for the correct installation of the product.
- The product is designed for indoor installation. Do not allow it or the water inside it to freeze. If there is no one in the building for a long time it is recommended to shut off the main water supply and drain the mixer tap.
- Check the completeness and quality of the product’s external surfaces immediately after purchase. In case of any deficiencies, defects or damage, the product should not be installed. Read the warranty card and follow its instructions.
- Please refer to the website www.laveo.pl for warranty details.
INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
- Before taking any action, shut off the main water supply.
- Entrust the installation of the product to a specialist company or properly qualified person. The installation should be carried out in accordance with generally accepted construction practice.
- The product should be installed in a place and in a manner that allow access for its easy installation and deinstalla tion as well as for maintenance and repair operations.
- Flush-mounted products should be fitted to a rigid plumbing system. The mixer tap body must not be bricked up. The mixer tap body or box should be accessible for inspection. During installation of a concealed component, cover all surface-mounted pieces to prevent them from being damaged.
- As there can be impurities in the water, it is necessary to use angle valves with a filter at the connection of upright mixer taps’ hoses to the plumbing system, or filter gaskets for wall-mounted mixers.
- The length of supply hoses in the set is min. 35 cm. Prior to installation, check the distance between the angle valves with water outlet and the mixer tap’s base. Once connected, the hoses should not be under tension, twisted or kinked.
USE AND MAINTENANCE DIRECTIONS
The maintenance operations listed below are to be performed by product users on their own:
-
Wipe the product dry with a soft cloth after each use.
-
Clean the aerator at least once a month. In order to do so, unscrew the aerator from the tap and rinse it under a stream of running water. After cleaning, screw the aerator back, making sure the gasket is positioned correctly.
-
Check for leaks and tighten hose nuts. Remember to clean and/or replace gaskets not permanently fitted to the product (e.g. filter gaskets in wall-mounted mixers, angle valves, etc.).
-
Clean the product’s surface and parts regularly:
-
a. Remove surface dirt and stains by washing the mixer with clean water with some washing-up liquid. Then rinse the product with clean water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
If there is a lot of limescale, you may wash the product’s surfaces with a solution of water and vinegar at a 1:1 ratio (for chrome plated products only) or use sanitary cleaners intended for fittings in line with the manufacturer’s instructions. -
b. Chrome plated, painted and varnished surfaces should not be cleaned with abrasive cloths or agents containing abrasives. Do not use cleaners containing acids, alkalis, alcohol, chlorine and potassium compounds, concentrated soda lye and solvents.
-
c. Remove limescale from shower heads, rain showers, shower hoses, function switches, spouts, internal parts and other elements on which it can accumulate.
-
e. Do not use steam cleaners.
-
-
Flush thermostatic mixers regularly by setting the thermostat alternately to the highest and to the lowest temperature and allowing the water to flow freely for about 2 minutes in each position. The same is recommended for function switches.
