This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your
attention to specific hazards and risks.

Safety Notes
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
Warning – Batteries
- When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and – markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or make.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not throw batteries in a fire.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment.
- They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
- Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
- Avoid storing, charging or using batteries in extreme temperatures.
Getting Started
Inserting the battery
Open the battery compartment (9), insert the battery/batteries, ensuring that
the batteries are inserted correctly in terms of polarity, and then close the
battery compartment (9). The thermometer is now ready for use.
Replacing the batteries
- If the display (1) becomes dimmer, you must replace the battery.
- When inserting the batteries, ensure that the polarity is correct.
Operation
Press the MODE button (3) to switch between the three display modes available. The modes are as follows (in that order): clock, calendar, alarm
Note
- The product is usually in clock mode. If the product is in another mode, press the MODE button (3) until it is in the mode you want.
- When you adjust the settings, the selected item will flash to indicate that it can be set.
Setting the time format/time
- In clock mode, press and hold the MODE button (3) for about 4 seconds to start setting the time:
- Hours
- Minutes
- Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
- Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next item.
- Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.
Setting the calendar
- In calendar mode, press and hold the MODE button (3) for about 4 seconds to start setting the calendar:
- Year
- Month
- Day
- Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
- Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next item.
- Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.
Note
- The weekday is set automatically when setting the date manually.
- If you do not make an entry for several minutes, you automatically exit the setup mode. The settings that were made up to that point are not saved!
Switching between the 12/24-hour display formats
Press and hold the UP button (6) for about four seconds to switch between
12-hour and 24-hour time formats, AM or PM appears before the time.
Setting the alarm
- Repeatedly press the MODE button (3) to enter alarm mode.
- Press and hold the MODE button (3) for about four seconds to start setting the alarm.

- Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
- Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next item.
- Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.
Temperature measurements, maximum/minimum display
- Press the DOWN button (7) when in any mode to choose between °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit).
- Press the MAX/MIN button (4) to display the maximum or minimum recorded values for temperature and humidity.
Alarm
- In time or calendar mode, press the UP button (6) to switch the alarms on or off. If one of these symbols appears on the display, the relevant functions are activated.
- If the alarm is switched on, it will stop going off automatically after about 1 minute or when the SNZ (5) or LIGHT (8) button is pressed. If you press the SNZ button (5), the alarm will go off again four times.
Temperature trend display (2)
This display shows the temperature trend over the last 12, 6, 3, 2 or 1
hour(s), within a max. range of +/- 3 °C or +/- 5.4 °F. It is only for
informational purposes; you cannot make any settings on this display.
Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Make sure that water does not get into the product.
