Important information concerning health
Excessive indoor humidity promotes the growth of undesirable organisms. Being in a room with a mold infestation can damage people’s immune systems, lead to respiratory diseases and allergies, and is related to infections. Very dry indoor air can dry the skin, irritate the throat and paranasal sinuses, and increase the risk of infections. In a dry climate, or if heating in the home dries out the air, a humidifier can be used to increase relative humidity. Active heating and ventilation promote a comfortable and healthy indoor climate.
