INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

9133 Series G23 LED PL Hybrid Lamps

PLEASE FIND A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION.

Please read the all instruction before installing.

• WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Installation requires knowledge of electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Product must be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code or your local electrical code. If you are not familiar with these codes and requirements, contact a qualified electrician.
• WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Install only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the lamp does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
• WARNING – To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or any other sharp objects.
• WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when installing. Check for enclosed wiring and components. Do not install if existing wires are damaged.
• WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Check the existing wiring for damage before installing.
• Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during installation.
• Do not use with dimmers.
• Not intended for use with emergency fixtures or exit lights.
• Not for use with totally enclosed fixtures.
• Suitable for damp locations.

DANGER: RISK OF SHOCK – DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION OR SERVICING

PL HYBRID LAMPS CAN BE DIRECTLY WIRED (BYPASS) OR CAN BE USED AS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT WITH A MAGNETIC BALLAST
DIRECT WIRE (BYPASS) INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make sure the circuit breaker that supplies power to the fixture is turned off.
2. Remove the trim and existing lamp(s) from recessed fixture. Also drop the housing from the plaster frame.
3. Remove the inner junction box cover and disconnect ballast from input wiring and lampholder leads. Dispose of removed ballast and lamps in accordance with government regulations in your area.
4. Connect input wiring to the lampholder leads according to the appropriate diagrams. Place wires and connections back in wiring box then cover box.
5. Install your new LED PL lamps. Rotate the lamps to desired position.
6. Reinstall housing and trim.
7. Apply caution label on a visible location inside the fixture.
8. Turn power on at the breaker box and turn on the lights.

DIRECT WIRE FOR 1 LAMPS – Wiring: (1) Twin Lamp

DIRECT REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR A MAGNETIC BALLAST

1. Make sure the circuit breaker that supplies power to the fixture is turned off.
2. Remove existing lamp(s) from recessed fixture.
3. Install your new LED PL lamps. Rotate the lamps to desired position.
4. Turn power on at the breaker box.
5. Turn on the lights.

DIRECT WIRE FOR 2 LAMPS – Wiring: (2) Twin Lamp
