PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

  • This user manual can be used for both the 300W and 500w modes of the ERAARK Smart Aquarium Heater. Setup and operation are the same for both the 300W and S00W models. In this user manual, the 500W model is used as an exampleERAARK-E501-Smart-Aquarium-Heater-FIG-2

USE THE APP

  • Scan the QR code to download the PETKIT App.
  • Press and hold the power key to turn on network features.
  • From the App Store or your application market, download the PETKIT App. Open the App, and on the main page, click the +” button to add a device. Follow the prompts to link your device.
  • (Using the App. you can change the operation mode and adjust the temperature)
SET UP AND USE
  1. Install the suction cup

  2. Install the heating element
    Secure the heating element to the inside of the tank using the suction cup. (Prevent it from floating freely)Proper installation method: We recommend mounting the heating rod onto the glass diagonally, or horizontally with the logo facing upward, or vertically Do not place the heating rod upside down, with the logo facing sideways, or in a location that is covered by other objects For details, see the Quick Setup Guide. SETUP AND USE

  3. Install the control box Use the damage-free glue to secure the control box to the outside of the tank, ensuring that the control box does not get wet,

  4. Turn on the device
    Plug in the power cable. The device will turn on automatically. (Download the App for more functionality)

  5. Choose the operation mode
    Double-click the function key to switch between normal mode and smart mode.

KEY DESCRIPTION

Power key

  • Double click: Turn on the WIFI network functionality
  • Hold down: Turn the device on/off

Function key

  • Double click: switch between normal mode and smart mode

Adjust the temperature

  • Hold down the function key to enter temperature-adjust mode.
  • The temperature on the display will start flashing.
  • Once this happens, the temperature can be increased by pressing the power key or decreased by pressing the function key.

Child lock

  • By holding down both keys at the same time, you can temporarily disengage the child lock.

MODE DESCRIPTION

  • Smart mode: the heater can intelligently adjust the water temperature according to the setting
  • Child lock mode: disables errant button presses.
  • Normal mode (no icon indication);: The heater will not readjust the temperature to fit the environment.
  • It will maintain the preset temperature.
  • Treatment mode (no icon indication): Using the settings in the App, when you observe illness in any of the fish in the tank, the heater will automatically increase the temperature of the water and maintain that temperature for a set treatment period, after which it will gradually return the temperature back to the normal temperature.
  • Alert notification: For details see notifications in the App.

HOW TO USE THE ACCESSORIES

  • Please only use the accessories as needed
  1. How to use the damage-free glue
    Adhere the damage-free glue to the slot of the control box mounting bracket.

  2. How to use the power cable anchors and ties

  3. How to use the power cord protector
    Wrap the power cord protector around the power cord near the heating element.

IPM (INTELLIGENT PROTECTION MODULE)

  • If the device does not receive MCU input and overheats due to malfunction, it will automatically issue a system alert after 10 seconds and cease heating.

USER SAFETY GUIDE

  • Failure to follow the safety guides outlined below can result in product malfunction or other unforeseen mishaps.
  • The heating element must be fully submerged in water at all times during use. Otherwise, the device will not be able to regulate its temperature and may malfunction as a result.
  • Please do not disassemble or modity this product in any way. This may cause damage to the device or harm the user.
  • Make sure to unplug the device before regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • This product is only used for aquarium, please do not use it for other purposes.
  • The submersion sensor fail-safe is only meant as a last resort to prevent the device posing a fire hazard due to overheating and should not be relied upon for normal use. ERAARK is not liable for any damages caused by overheating.
  • Turn off the device or remove the power source whenever moving the heating element for any reason.
  • Make sure to protect the power cord and power cord plug from moisture.
  • The power parameters of the device must comply with the parameters of the power supply. You may refer to the product packaging, product tags, and the user manual for detailed information.
  • This product cannot reduce water temperature below the ambient temperature of the room.
  • Do not continue to use the power cable if it is damaged in any way, as continued use may result in unintended accidents.
  • This device is not intended to be used at a depth lower than 1.2m. The heating element has a water resistance rating of lPX8.
  • Children are not allowed to touch or operate this product.
  • According to regulations, before performing maintenance on the heating element, you must remove the power source of the fish tank, or alternatively, if you instead choose to turn off the power switch, It is forbidden to maintain the heating element when it is charged.
  • If you wish to remove the heating element, turn it off first and wait for at least 5 minutes so that it can cool down.
  • Removing the heating element from the water too s0on may cause damage to the device.
  • The heating element must be used in a regularly circulating tank of water. The heating element must be fully submerged at all times during use.
  • For indoor use only.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
  • After using the heating element for a while, users must regularly clean off the heating element and submersion sensor, making sure it is not covered over by algae or scale, which may result in failure of the submersion sensor failsafe.
  • The heating element cannot be covered or buried by other objects.

Disposal
