SHURE A900-CM Ceiling Mount
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
WARNING
This product is designed for use only with Shure MXA920W-S, MXA920W-S-60CM, MXA901W-S, MXA901W-S-60CM, MXA902W-S, MXA902W-S-60CM, MXA920W/B/AL-R. This product is designed to be installed on wood joist/beam or solid concrete ceilings. Hardware is included for wood joist/beam and solid concrete installation. Before installing make sure the supporting surface will support the combined load of the equipment and hardware. Screws must be tightly secured. Do not overtighten screws or damage can occur and product may fail. Never exceed the Maximum Load Capacity. Always use an assistant or mechanical lifting equipment to safely lift and position equipment. This product is intended for indoor use only. Use of this product outdoors could lead to product failure or personal injury. Be careful not to pinch fingers when operating the mount. For support please call customer care at 1-800-865-2112.

WARNING
When installing Peerless ceiling mounts on a wood joist/beam covered with
gypsum board (drywall), verify that the joists or beams are a minimum of 2″ x
4″ nominal size. Do not install over gypsum board thicker than 5/8″.
- Mark mounting holes on stud center lines.
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Install using the wood screws provided.
WARNING
- When installing Peerless ceiling mounts on a concrete ceiling, the ceiling must be at least 8″ thick with a minimum compressive strength of 2000 psi. Never attach concrete expansion anchors to concrete covered with plaster, drywall, or other finishing material.
- Mark mounting holes.
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Install using concrete anchors and wood screws provided
WARNING
- When installing Peerless ceiling mounts on a wood joist/beam covered with plywood, verify that the wood joist/beam is a minimum of 2″ x 4″ nominal size and plywood is a minimum Grade BC, 1/2″ (13mm) thick. Plywood may be covered by gypsum board (drywall) up to 5/8″ thick
- Mark mounting holes on plywood.
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Install using the wood screws provided.
WARNING
- When installing Peerless ceiling mounts on a wood joist/beam, verify that the wood joist/beams are a minimum of 2″ x 4″ nominal size
- Mark mounting holes.
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Install using the wood screws provided.
- Maximum 80 in. • lb (9 N.M.).
WARNING
- When installing Peerless ceiling mounts on a wood joist/beam, verify that the joists/beams are a minimum of 2″ x 4″ nominal size. Do not install over gypsum board thicker than 5/8″
- Drill mounting holes into the supporting surface (2.5″ (64mm) minimum depth required).
- Mark mounting holes on stud center lines.
WARNING
- Length of wood screw must be at least #10 x 1-1/4″ plus the thickness of the drywall.
