WARNING: Carrying a handgun in an ill-fitting or improper holster can
result in serious injury or death. The purchase and use of this Safariland
holster is done at the sole and exclusive risk of the user.

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Improper or careless use of a firearm and holster may result in serious injury or death. It is the user’s responsibility to have thorough knowledge of and be properly trained in all aspects of firearm and holster safety and use.
  • Do not carry any handgun with a round in the chamber unless you have received professional training in the use of the handgun and holster and are willing to assume responsibility and risk (including accidental discharge) of carrying a loaded handgun.
  • If your handgun is equipped with a safety lever, be sure that safety is engaged when holstering the handgun.
  • When drawing a handgun from a holster or placing it into a holster, do not place finger in the trigger guard or near the trigger guard. Position trigger finger adjacent to but away from the trigger and, if possible, support the tip of the finger on the front of the trigger guard.
  • When putting a handgun in the holster always place thumb over the hammer or behind the slide.
  • Always secure the retaining or safety strap(s) on holster after inserting handgun in holster.
  • Never holster any semi-automatic handgun in a single-action mode (except handguns which are single action only; ex. Colt 1911 or the Browning Hi-Power).
  • Do not attempt to cock a holstered handgun as this can cause severe damage to the handgun or holster or both and may contribute to an accidental discharge.
  • Always place hand on the handgun and holster when running or performing other vigorous activity.
  • Do not use customized, modified, worn or broken handguns or those that are not of original manufacturers specifications in Safariland holsters.
  • Do not, in any way modify, disassemble or remove any part from this holster.
  • Do not rely on any holster being snatch proof. There is no such holster. Rely only on extensive, proper training and vigilance.
  • It is the user’s responsibility to properly maintain the holster by checking components such as snaps, screw, etc. for proper function.
  • Be aware that handguns with lights mounted to them create an opening in the holster that could possibly allow access to the trigger.

WARNING: Failure to heed these warnings or follow the operating instructions may result in accidental discharge of a handgun causing serious injury or death.

OVERVIEW

SCHEMA Minimalist IWB Holster
The Safariland SCHEMA is a minimalist IWB (inside-waistband) passive retention injection molded polymer holster. Firearm retention inside the holster is assisted by the integrated passive retention features. Holstering is easy and the user will feel and hear an audible click when the firearm is properly seated into the holster. While the passive trigger guard retention helps secure the firearm in the holster during normal wear and activity, drawing the firearm is smooth and natural with a fully accessible grip and typical drawing motion. The holster’s minimalist design, along with a 360 degree rotationally cantabile and vertically adjustable belt clip should allow for a comfortable fit and strong side wear or appendix carry location on any body type.

HOLSTER FEATURES

Each SCHEMA holster body is specifically engineered for a targeted
firearm model. The design features a reinforced mouth to allow
for single-handed holstering while being worn. Although typical of bulkier traditional IWB holsters, this functionality is lacking on most minimalist or trigger guard only style holsters. The Trigger Guard Shield safety mechanism prevents finger ingress and accidental trigger pulls while worn and during activity. The Body Shield helps reduce a critical hot spot in the event of an immediate holstering after firing sequences during typical use. The Muzzle Guide assists in proper holster-to-gun alignment during holstering, while being worn and provides stability to the gun for the minimalist and open bottom style holster design featured on the Safariland SCHEMA. The Tuck Device enhances concealment by leveraging the wearer’s belt tension and pants or shorts waistline to pull the holster and firearm grip closer to the body. The holster body is reinforced, and  the Tension Device is secured via the Body Screw and Body Plug. Removal of this screw is unnecessary, not recommended, and any repeated removal and/or reinstallation of this screw should be avoided. The Belt Clip is secured to the holster via the Belt Clip Screw, for step-by-step instructions on how to adjust the position or cant angle of the clip, please refer to Belt Clip Adjustment.

QUICK START

Double check that Schema holster model engraving (i.e. GL43/43X), on the inside of the Body Shield, behind the S logo, matches the model gun being used. Put gun in holster. Insert gun and holster into pants. Make sure the Belt Clip is positioned over-the-belt and that the barb is under the bottom edge of the belt to secure the holster in place. Adjust the belt clip to fit your needs according to the process Belt Clip Adjustment.

BELT CLIP ADJUSTMENT

The Safariland SCHEMA holster features a belt clip that is vertically adjustable, up-to 1/2”. It is also rotationally cantabile with a full 360-degree range of motion. Using a 1/8” hex driver or allen wrench, simply loosen the Belt Clip Screw while holding the interior Slab Nut in place with your finger. When the screw is loosened enough to disengage the Belt Clip’s and Insert’s locking teeth, rotate and/or slide the belt clip into the desire position. Retighten the Belt Clip Screw to reengage the locking teeth and secure the Belt Clip back into place
