SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual. In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
    they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  4. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  5. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate
    and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance. – 3 –

  6. CAUTION:   s ome parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  8. Home use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.

  9. Before the first connection of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.

  10. There is a danger of electric shock even when the appliance is switched off. Always unplug the appliance from the power supply when it is not in use.

  11. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

  12. Do not operate the oil heater with a damaged cord or plug.

  13. Return defective appliances for repair to the nearest service center. Only qualified persons may repair the appliance.

  14. Close supervision is required when the appliance is used near children.

  15. Always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning.

  16. Unplug the oil heater by pulling the plug out of the power outlet. Pull on the plug, not on the cord.

  17. Do not use the unit when you sleep.

  18. Do not insert or pull out the plug with wet hands as this may cause electrical shock.

  19. The oil heater may only be used in the upright position.

  20. The unit must be positioned away from flammable or easily deform able objects during use.

  21. Place the oil heater on the floor at least 90 cm away from the wall and any other objects, such as furniture, curtains or plants. – 4 –

  22. The surface temperature of the appliance is high; do not touch it, only at the handle.

  23. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.

  24. This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the oil container are only to be made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should be contacted if  there is an oil leak; when scrapping the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.

  25. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

  26. The appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control not originally belonging to this  appliance.

ASSEMBLY

  • Do not operate the oil heater without correctly fixed base support.
  • To fix the rear support base, fit it tightly against the fin, until it stays in place.
  • To fix the front support base, fit it tightly against the bottom on the front panel.
  • After fixing the supports, ensure that the heater stands firmly on the floor.Product Overview

USING THE APPLIANCE

Position the appliance in a safe place, freestanding with at least 90cm clearance
Assembly Instruction

  • Set the thermostat to the “OFF” position and insert the plug into the power supply.
  • Turn the thermostat control clockwise all the way round until you hear a click, this sound indicates that the oil heater is activated, the indicator light is on. Continue turning the thermostat control clockwise to its highest setting.
  • When the indicator light is on, the heater is activated. This light turns on and off repeatedly according to the function of the thermostat. (Suitable for rooms up to 5 m2 )
  • Turning the thermostat clockwise will always increase the set temperature; turning it anticlockwise will decrease the set temperature. The thermostat will automatically turn the heater on and off to keep the setting temperature.

NOTE:

  • The room must be in a good tight condition; if not, the heating results will be insufficient.
  • After use, turn the thermostat to the “OFF” position and unplug the appliance from the power supply

SAFETY SYSTEM:

  • The appliance has a safety system which automatically switches off the unit when overheated.
  • If overheating occurs, remove the plug from the socket, and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

  • The oil heater should be cleaned regularly; wipe the dust off the surface of the fins. This improves radiation.
  • Unplug the appliance from the power supply and allow the appliance to cool down completely. – 6 –
  • Wipe the appliance with a soft damp cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives.
  • Do not scratch the fin surfaces with sharp tools. Damages of the coat layer result in rusty spots.

STORAGE

  • Ensure that the oil heater is completely cooled off.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.

  • If you have a problem with your heater, please do not attempt to repair it yourself. This action may cause damage or personal injury.

Always keep your receipt, without the receipt you can’t claim any form of warranty. Damage caused by not following the instruction manual, will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages then we will not be liable.
Neither can we hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use if the instruction manual is not properly executed. Damage to accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance, replacement of said parts or shipping and transportation costs to and from any place of repair are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
