introduction

  1. Connect the unit to an amplifierSONY HAP-Z1ES High-Resolution Audio HDD Player fig 1After connecting the unit and speakers, connect the AC power cord (mains lead) to a wall outlet (wall socket).
    Tip
    You can also connect the unit to the amplifier using an XLR cable (not supplied).

    Turn on the power of the unit, and then set up the unit following the on- screen instructions.
    You can connect the unit to the network using either a wireless or wired LAN connection.
    To transfer a large volume of content to the unit
    Using a LAN cable allows you to transfer quicker. Connect a LAN cable first as shown in the illustration on the right, and then turn on the power of the unit.

Transfer music files from your computer to the unit

  1. Install HAP Music Transfer on your computer.
    HAP Music Transfer is software to transfer audio files from your computer to the unit.

  2. Start up HAP Music Transfer, and then transfer music files to the unit.
    Transferring many files to the unit or processing many files on the unit may take extra time to complete. During the data processing, is displayed.

Playing back music

  1. Display the Home Menu, and then play back a music file.
    The icon is displayed while copying and transferring files. You can start to play back music from files transferred and registered on the unit

Features Fonction

  • Automatic transferring of music from your computer
    Just complete steps 1 to 3 in this manual to transfer your music files over to the unit. That way, you can play them back even when not connected to the network.

  • Playback of high-quality sound
    High-resolution audio such as 192 kHz/24 bit and DSD can be played back. Also, MP3 and other compressed audio sources are played back in a way that re- creates high-range sound for a spacious feel.

  • Easier operation with mobile devices A special app is available for easier control of the unit.
    Just download “HDD Audio Remote” for the mobile device you use.

  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
  • The unit is not disconnected from the mains as long as it is connected to the AC outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.
