How long does it take to charge a battery?

It takes about 5 hours to fully charge a battery.

Does the headlamp have a memory function?

Yes, it has a memory function. If you fully charge the battery and then use it for an hour, the headlamp will automatically turn off because the battery is full.

How do I know when the battery is full?

When you plug in the charger, the indicator light will be red. When it is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.

How do I know if my headlamp is charging?

The indicator light will be red when charging and green when fully charged.

Why is there a red light?

Infrared lights have two tactical uses. Red lights are far more difficult to see from a distance than white lights in an escape-and-dodge scenario. Additionally, infrared light does not impair your night vision (blind you) the way that stronger white light does, in case you need to rapidly turn off your light to escape detection.

When you turn on this headlamp again, does it retain your prior setting or does it automatically start off in white, causing you to go through the red mode?

This headlight has a memory feature. To turn on the light, however, you must press the “Mode” button. The previous mode you used will thereafter be used. The light will automatically switch to a white spotlight when you press the ON/OFF button to turn it on.

Is it possible to disable the motion sensor feature? It really annoys me!

The motion sensor won’t function if you press the button without the hand icon.

Can I wear the headband beneath a bicycle helmet? Is it thin enough?

The band is indeed thin enough to be worn underneath a riding helmet.

When used as a motion sensor, how long does the light last?

This is a subpar product. purchased two pairs, and both of them are really effective.

Does it solely use rechargeable batteries to operate?

Yes, I believe so. I’m not sure how I survived all these years without one of these great lights. uses a USB connection to recharge.

Would someone with a huge head (about 22 inches) fit in this?

Yes. Her hubby is 23. And the band’s adjustment will be significantly greater. I occasionally wear it on my hat.
