FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY

  1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the IM are for reference only.

  2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  3. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  6. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  7. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  8. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

  9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  10. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications.

  11. Do not leave your home while the appliance is in use. Ensure that the switch is in OFF (0) position. Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Do not pull the cord to unplug the heater.

  12. Keep combustible material such as furniture, cushions, bedding, paper, clothes, curtains etc. at least 100 cm away from the fan heater.

  13. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

  14. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.

  15. Do not allow any objects to enter any ventilation opening as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.

  16. Store in a cool dry place when not in use.

  17. Do not insert or pull out the plug with wet hands as this may cause electrical shock.

  18. The appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control not originally belonging to this appliance.

  19. This heating device is not suitable for assembling in vehicles and machines.

  20. WARNING: In order to avoid a hazard for very young children, this heater should be installed so that the lowest heated rail is at least 600 mm above the floor.

  21. WARNING: The heater must not be used if the glass panel is damaged.

    WARNING!! Please do not touch surface while in use. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

WALL MOUNTING

  1. Choose a wall where has enough space and is suitable to install the appliance.
  2. Use the enclosed template to mark the holes to be drilled on the wall. Then drill 4 holes Φ6 each into the wall. Insert the plastic expansion bolts into the holes.
  3. Fix the wall bracket to the two upper holes using two ST4X35 screws
  4. Fasten the two Z-brackets to the back of the heater with two M4X8 screws.emerio BH-216560.1 Bathroom Heater fig 8
  5. Insert the smaller towel rack into the provided brackets (higher position) and screw it tight with four M4X16screws. Follow the same way to fix the larger towel rack to the brackets in lower position with four M4X16 screws. Both tower racks can be slided up and down.   6. Two person are required for the following assembly steps:Place the appliance on the wall bracket and fasten it on the left and right side with two M4X10 screws to the wall bracket.emerio BH-216560.1 Bathroom Heater fig 10
  7. Fix the Z-brackets to the wall with two ST4X35 screws. The screws should fit into the two previously drilled lower holes. Wipe the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth. The appliance is ready for operation.

OPERATION

Plug the appliance into an appropriate electrical outlet. Power on the appliance by pressing the power switch to position “I”. Display and control panel will light up for 10s. Now, the appliance is standby.
To power off the appliance, push the power switch to position “O” and disconnect the plug.

Touch once to turn on the appliance.
Note: Button light will go out in 10s when no operation is conducted. Touch any button could reactivate the button light.

Touch once again to turn off the appliance, and it will stay at standby mode.
Note: Motor will continue working for extra 15s to drive away the residue heat inside unit before turning off.

Set local day and time
When first use, icon will keep flashing to remind user to set local day and time before further operation.
Long touch button for 3 seconds to activate timer setting, figure 1 of 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 will flash, touch button “+” or “–” to select the day, the selected figure will flash accordingly. Touch button to confirm day setting. Then come to hour-setting, flashes, touch button “+” or “–” to select the hour among 0-23, touch button  to confirm hour setting. Then come to minute-setting, flashes, touch  button “+” or “–” to select the minute among 0- 59. Touch button to confirm minute setting.
Note: program will automatically return to initial display in 10s if no operation is conducted during setting.
How to check the current time: touch button  once, the display will show the currenct time, first the hour then the minute; then it will show the current temperature again.

Power setting

  1. PTC heating (1800W): Touch button to turn on the appliance. Both icons light up, PTC heating is working at high power 1800W. Touch once to switch it to low power 1100W, only one icon lights up.
  2. Panel Heating (200W): Touch button once to start panel heating. Touch the button again to stop the panel heating.
  3. Full power heating (2000W): When panel heating works, touch button to switch PTC heating at high power 1800W. Then total power is 2000W.
    Note: at this stage, touch button will switch PTC heating from high power – low power – no power (1800W- 1100W- 0W).
    WARNING: The glass surface and air outlet bottom will become very hot. Be careful and avoid touching it.

Temperature setting

After the power is set, touch button “+” or “–” to set the temperature among 5-40℃. Display will change accordingly. Once the temperature is set, the setting will be confirmed in 5s automatically.
When the ambient temperature reaches the set temperature, appliance will stop heating.
When the ambient temperature drops 1 ℃ lower than the setting, appliance will resume heating to keep the ambient temperature at the set level.
Note: the set temperature must be higher than the ambient temperature. Or appliance will not start heating.

Mode setting of week timer

Touch Mode button to switch working mode among P1-P2-P3-P4-P5-UP. After choosing your desired mode, just leave it for 3 seconds for confirmation.

  1. P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 modes are default program for quick setting

Anti-frost: the appliance keeps the room temperature at default 5℃ to prevent frost.
Comfort: the comfortable level is achieved by setting power and temperature upon need. (Refer to above power and temperature setting). The set power and temperature will be used for all comfort mode.
Note: the power and temperature can only be adjusted in comfort mode.

  1. UP mode is week timer setting of comfort / anti-frost set by end-user.
    Touch button MODE to choose UP mode; then touch button PROG to start setting, figure 1 (1= Monday, 2 = Tuesday, 3 = Wednesday, 4 = Thursday, 5 = Friday, 6 = Saturday, 7 = Sunday ) and begin flashing, light up.
    Set one or three (at most) time-ranges of comfort period for Monday;

  2. Touch button “+” or “–”, LED display 1 (1st working-hour).

  3. Touch button “+” or “–” to select the start time of 1st comfort period among 0-23. Once selected, touch button to confirm. Touch button “+” to set end time (Note: it must be at least 1 hour more than start time). Then touch button to confirm 1st time-range of setting.

  4. LED display 2 (2nd comfort period), repeat above step 2 to set the 2nd time-range of setting. If you don’t need to set other comfort period for Monday, you can touch to switch to figure 2 (Tuesday).

  5. After set the 2nd comfort period, you can go on set the 3rd comfort period or touch to switch to figure 2 (Tuesday).

  6. After one day setting is finished, figure 2 (Tuesday) begins flashing, repeat the same steps above to set comfort period of Tuesday and also for other days.

The default week program of UP mode is whole day of comfort mode. So if you do not set the program for UP mode, the appliance will work on comfort mode all day.
Note : each step must be operated within 2 min, or it will exist setting and screen will recover to initial display.

Presence Sensor
The presence sensor is only active in comfort mode under UP mode. If after 15 minutes’ operation in comfort mode, the presence sensor does not detect movement in the bathroom, it will stop. If movement is detected within the set time, it will start operating again, following the set weekly program.
Note: Presence sensor will not work in anti-frost mode.

Timer setting

In P1 mode, touch button twice quickly to activate timer setting, icon & flash. Touch button “+” or “–” to set timer among to 24. Leave the setting for 5s, the timer setting is confirmed. Screen will show ambient temperature and counting-down hour in turn. Touch button twice quickly again could cancel the setting. The screen will only show room temperature.

Child Lock Function

During operation, long touch button “+” or “–” at the same time for 3 seconds to activate child lock function, screen will show [ ] after setting and will recover to initial display in 5 seconds. Other function is invalid once child lock function works. Once button is touch, screen will flash [ ] to remind you child lock function is working and recover to initial display in 5 seconds.
Long touch button “+” or “–” at the same time for 3 seconds again could cancel child lock function.

Window Open Detection Function:

In any working mode, long touch button for 3 seconds to activate window open detection,icon flashes on the screen. Long touch button for 3 seconds again could cancel the setting, icon disappear.

In window open detection mode, if the room temperature is found to drop 5°C in 10 minutes when the appliance is heating, the appliance will consider the window may be open and start detection. In the next 30 minutes, if room temperature is found to be the same or lower than before, appliance will consider the window is open and stop heating. At the same time, icon stops flashing and keep lighting up to remind  user to close the window.

When the window is closed, touch button to recover normal operation, icon flashes again.

Recovery of Factory Setting

During operation, Touch at the same time twice quickly. The appliance will recover to initial factory settings.

SAFETY SYSTEM

  • The appliance has a safety system which automatically switches off the unit when overheated.
  • If overheating occurs, switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket, and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes. Put the plug in the socket and switch on the heater.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Filter

  1. Please clean the filter after around 150 hours usage.
  2. Use screw driver to unscrew 2PCS screws ST3X10 from filter, then remove the left and right filters. Re-assemble the filter according to the reference line (see drawing below). Push the filter to the end until it cannot move anymore.

Heater

  1. Always un-plug the heater from the wall socket and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust on inlet and outlet surfaces.
  3. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and with a dry cloth.
  4. Do not use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to penetrate the heater.

STORAGE

  1. Always disconnect the appliance, let it completely cool and clean it before storing.
  2. If you do not use the device for a long period, put back the unit and the instruction manual back into the original carton and store in a dry and ventilated place.
  3. Do not place any heavy items on top of carton during storage as this may damage the appliance.
