Fuel Filter
Filters contaminants often found in propane tanks & hoses to protect Buddy heaters from damage.

CAUTION: FOLLOW WARNINGS TO AVOID INJURY AND FIRES

  1. Never connect or disconnect hose near burning appliances or other ignition sources.
  2. Keep couplings clean & dirt free.
  3. NPT Tapered thread connections require a thread sealant.
  4. For products that use an O-Ring, inspect O-Ring for damage before use. If not in good condition replace before assembly (never use without an O-Ring).
  5. Always keep propane cylinders outdoors, never inside house, camper or tent.
  6. Always check all connections for leaks with soapy water. Tighten all connections until bubbles disappear. NEVER use a flame to check for leaks.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUEL FILTER

  1. Make sure the heater control knob is in the off position
  2. Turning clockwise, hand tighten the male end of the fuel filter into the regulator of your Buddy heater
  3. Screw male end (1”-20 Throwaway Cylinder Threads) of Mr. Heater hose stock #F273701, F273702, F298802, F272702, F273703-60 or F273703-144 into the bottom of the fuel filter, turning clockwise.
  4. Tighten all hose and filter connections.
  5. Open valve at LP-gas supply cylinder.
  6. Check all hose and filter connections for leaks with soapy water.

WARNING: Every time the fuel filter and hose are connected to heater, connections must be checked for leaks in one or more ways: apply soapy water to connections and look for bubbles, listen for the hiss of escaping gas, feel for extreme cold around fittings, and/or smell for rotten egg odor. DO NOT use if leaking!

**FILTER MUST BE REPLACED ANNUALLY.

Fuel filter must be replaced annually.
