DESCRIPTION

The LED strip lights are compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to control the lights more intelligently. Using simple voice commands, you can turn on/off the lights, adjust the brightness, and change the colors (5G Wi-Fi not supported). 2 rolls of 32.8ft strip lights are sufficient to illuminate large areas. Color-changing lights will energize your bedroom, living room, cupboard, bar, Christmas tree, or balcony. (Note: 4-pin connectors are not included). Use the Govee Home app, IR remote, or control box to control your lights. Our app has 16 million colors, several Scene Modes, a Timer function, and much more! With the remote and control box, you’ll have more direct control.

The LED strip lights have a built-in high-sensitivity microphone and sync to ambient sounds. The Dynamic and Mild modes are intended for various types of music. Select Mild for a soft piano piece or Dynamic for an indoor party. LEDs of high quality provide excellent brightness and have a 50,000-hour life span. Because of the UL-certified power adapter and low voltage, the lights are safe to use and provide a consistent lighting experience.

INSTALLING YOUR STRIP LIGHTS

1. PREPARATION BEFORE INSTALLING
2. Unpack the box and check all items listed in the packing list.
3. Power on the strip lights and check whether they light up.

INSTALLING STEPS

1. Wipe the surface to make sure it’s clean and dry.

2. Peel off the protective film on the tape, stick the strip on and press over It firmly.
   

3. Reinforce via clips around corners.

4. Peel off the protective film on the control box and stick it on.

5. Power on the strip lights and begin using.

Press and hold to cycle through the 6 brightness levels.

CONTROLLING WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL

dynamic Scene Modes.

Auto| 1. Switch the Scene Mode between 7options at random

2. Every mode lasts for 30s.

Mode| MODE+/-: Press to cycle forward or backward

through 7 scene modes.

Music Mode| Press to enter music mode.
Speed| SPEED +/-:For scene mode, press it to speed up or slow

down the changing of lights; For music mode, press it to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the mic.

Adjust Brightness| Dim or brighten the light.
Color Changing| COLOR+/-: Press to cycle forward or backward

through 32 colors.

Color Selecting| Press to change the color.

R: Red, G: Green, B: Blue, W: White

DOWNLOADING THE GOVEE HOME APP

Download the Govee Home app from App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).

NOTICE: A smartphone running iOS 9.3 (or above) or Android 4.4 (or above) is needed.

CONNECTING TO A WI-FI NETWORK

1. Tum on Bluetooth in your mobile phone;
2. Open Govee Home app and tap”+” icon in the top right comer;
3. Select “H6195” in the device list;
4. Select a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to connect or skip the setup.

CONTROLLING YOUR STRIP LIGHTS WITH ALEXA/GOOGLE ASSISTANT

WI-FI SETTING

Make sure the strip has connected to Wi-Fi; If not please follow steps below to set up Wi-Fi.

1. Open the app, select the strip light that has been added and tap setting icon in the top right corner.
2. Tap ‘Wi-Fi Setting”, select a Wi-Fi available and enter password. Notice: Only support 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi network.

WORKS WITH ALEXA/GOOGLE ASSISTANT

1. Open the app, select the strip light that has been added and tap setting icon in the top right corner.
2. Tap “Using guidance” and follow on-screen instructions to complete setup.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. THE ADHESIVE TAPE IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH.
2. Make sure the installation surface is clean and dry.
3. Firmly press over the strip after sticking.
4. Reinforce the installation via more clips and tapes.
5. CANNOT CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH.
6. Do not skip Bluetooth connection in the app.
7. Make sure Bluetooth in your mobile phone has been turned on.
8. It may be caused by incompatibility between the phone system and the app. Please change a mobile phone and connect again.
9. Re-power on the strip and re-turn on Bluetooth in your phone to try again.
10. Keep the distance between the strip and the phone less than 1 m/3.28ft while connecting.
11. Keep obstructions between the strip and the phone as few as possible.

THE STRIP DOES NOT MATCH THE SAME COLOR./SOME LED BEADS DON’T LIGHT UP.

Please contact Govee support team in time for return.

CANNOT CONNECT TO WI-FI.

4. Do not skip the step of Wi-Fi connecting in the app.
5. 5GHz network is not supported. Please set the router to 2.4GHz and then reset it.
6. Connect your phone to Wi-R and check whether the network works well.
7. Make sure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi name and password.
8. Change your Wi-Fi password to a brief one. 8 numbers and letters are suggested.
9. Connect hotspot in your phone to the strip light and check whether the router works with the strip light.

CANNOT SYNC TO THE MUSIC BEAT.

4. Please keep the control box close to the sound source.
5. Clean up the sound picking hole on the control box.

CANNOT CONNECT TO THE ALEXA.

4. Pull out every connective part of the strip lights and firmly re-connect them.
5. Re-connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
6. Plug out the adapter port and re-plug it in.

THE STRIP LIGHTS DON’T WORK.

Can (2) of these 65.5 ft. sets be connected together using the same power supply to make the run longer?

If you’re going to connect long runs of LED strips, it would be better to get your own power supply. DO Not do as one answered hear just double the output voltage, the LEDs will burn out in no time.

I only need about 48ft long for my project. can I cut strip short? should I cut 18ft off one strip or 9ft off each?

It’s possible for you to cut RGB strip light along the golden mark.

Is there a public api for either the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, such that a raspberry pi could control these lights?

If I use a Wi-Fi power outlet to connect the adaptor when the strip is back how long can it store its last setting?

This 65.6ft Alexa strip light will remain your last setting before you turn off the light via the Wi-Fi outlet unless reset it.

If I buy a 65.6ft kit (2×32.8ft), and a 32.8ft kit (2×16.4ft), can I swap their contents to make each a 49.2ft kit (1×32.8ft plus 1×16.4ft)?

If you get too many lights on one power adapter, they’ll turn off and on and flash random colors. You have to have the right power adapter for the amount of lights you’re using. One would probably work, because you’ve essentially just shortened one circuit. The power adapter for a 32ft kit probably won’t support 49 feet of lights though.

is there a list of lighting modes? it says 64 modes but what are they?

Solid colors, fast and slow changing of colors for certain holidays/moods, brightness.

Where to cut on strip

There should be markings along the strip about every 2 or 3 inches. It should look like 4 copper ovals with a line through them.

Can I splice this so I can use with a wall switch? Will it still have the remote-control capability?

Yes, you can control the light by wall switch (3 buttons on), remote, and the Govee Home app.

Can you move them after you place the strip. Say if you’re moving houses?

It is possible, but a very delicate process. These lights are taped with adhesive to the surfaces. To remove them, you would need to be very delicate not to break them.

How many times can u cut them??

You can cut them as many times as you want, as long as you have a power source for each strip you cut.
