What are the dimensions of the foot print? That is what width tub will it fit in. I need the measurement of the feet left to right and front to back.
I measured my bath tub before I got this seat and it measured 17 inches wide (side to side) This bath seat fit perfect inside my bathtub.
do you have any problem with rusting from any parts?
no, NO RUST at all, this is the ONLY tub chair I could find that did NOT have metal legs or metal parts. It seems to be entirely plastic, yet very sturdy, kind of heavy to be honest. I also use this to stand on to put in lightbulbs, etc. VERY GOOD chair. Just TRY to find a tub chair that does NOT have metal legs. This is the only one.
I purchased this exact chair last year I think. our water ruined the rubber black bottom round feet, can I buy them separately? carex?
You can find them at Walmart for $6.88 – look under “Carex Walker & Bath Bench Tips” – they are white. I just bought this bench and really like it. However, I was also looking for replacement tips just in case that the black rubber tips might be leaking dye onto my off-white fiberglass shower floor.
I want to take it with me on vacation. Can you take the legs back off once it is assembled?

can it be used in a small shower ?
Dimensions for seat are 16 – 21” H x 21” W x 18”D. It can be used in most showers or bathtubs.
One of my legs will not budge to unscrew to elevate the seat. The other 3 work fine. Any suggestions?
This can happen if it somehow wedged inside the tube at an angle. You can try giving it a good whack, but be careful not to put too much force as it could break. Remove the leg from the seat before trying this to lessen the chances of breakage. You could also try WD-40, but we’ve not attempted this method so can’t speak to how effective it might be.
Is the only assembly to put the legs into the seat and that’s it
yes, just screw in the legs. If it is slightly off center, you can Also twist the feet to stabilize it as needed. However, mine was perfectly stable as soon as I put the legs into the chair, done! no tweaking needed.
Are the legs hollow? Wondering if water gets in there requiring drain/cleaning often. My last chair (different brand) got moldy & gross.
They are more hollow towards the top where it connects to the seat. Since the feet screw into the bottom of the leg it takes up a lot of the internal space. I would assume it would drain most of the water, if it did get into the leg. However regular cleaning may still be required.
Do the black tips on this stool leak dye – could they stain a white fiberglass shower floor?
This is the second one that I’ve owned and I have had no problems with the black rubber around stool legs making a stain in the tub or anywhere else, however at some point if you don’t keep it dry there will be mold and mildew up inside where you are able to unscrew them to make it taller or shorter.
Is this item made in the USA?
