DESCRIPTION

Dual layers of nylon mesh with an air gap collaborate to reduce and eliminate popping and lisping from your recordings while maintaining clarity. Prevents the accumulation of corrosive salts in spit on your microphone element. The pop filter, which has a unique bracket angle and tension screw, can be mounted to virtually any microphone or stand. Metal gooseneck is strong enough to stay put while remaining easy to adjust for maximum comfort and quality. A multipack bundle is an affordable way to get your best vocal recordings on the first take.

DUAL LAYERED FILTER

Dual layers of nylon mesh with an air gap collaborate to reduce and eliminate popping and lisping from your recordings while maintaining clarity. It works by trapping and dispersing air bursts caused by specific letters and sounds, preventing them from reaching your microphone. Other advantages include reduced errant breath noise and removal of “lisping” from some “s” sounds. The screen also keeps saliva and moisture out of your microphone.

ADJUSTABLE METAL GOOSENECK CLIP

The windscreen is attached to a 13″ metal gooseneck that is super flexible but strong. The articulated arm allows you to curve up, over, and around your stand to position the pop filter precisely.

UNIVERSAL MOUNT

The metal g-clamp with thumbscrew fastener secures the pop filter to most microphones and stands, while the soft padding protects the finish of whatever it’s attached to. The pop filter can be mounted to virtually any microphone or stand thanks to the unique bracket angle and tension screw.

Is anyone using this with the Blue Snowball microphone? Does this mount well onto it? Any issues?

the mount is definitely designed to mount to a mic stand or another cylindrical item like a mic stand, but I actually clamp mine to my desk, if you don’t have something round to clamp it to though it may be difficult. I managed to finagle it onto my blue yeti’s stand though.

Should I get one of these if my microphone has a built-in pop filter?

The popular Shure mics–SM57, SM58, and SM48–now advertise a “built-in pop filter.” It’s probably effective for live performance, but you may find that for radio announcing or recording, you’re still getting unwanted sibilant and plosive sounds.

Is this as big as they say it is? If you were to measure it, how big is the diameter?

Almost 6 inches, it doesn’t feel huge IMO.

How does it go on?

There’s a screw at the end that acts like a vice and holds itself in place on the mic stand. it’s nice although on snowball stand it’s a little loose because the screw probably isn’t long enough to clamp down on it. But its fine as long as you don’t move too much.

Does it mount well to the Blue Yeti stand?

No, it does not mount to the Blue Yeti’s included stand.

I will be creating videos, talking to viewers, so wonder although this seems very nec does it get in the way of my appearing to viewers? Thanks!

Yes. It’s for avoiding popping when audio recording. For video or interviews, get a mic cover for your purposes.

Is this compatible with the Samson Meteor?

It would be a little tricky to use with the Samson Meteor mic because of its size. You could potentially attach the Dragonpad onto one of the side pegs of the mic, but I am not 100% how much the condenser would weigh the mic down. So it’s sort of a “yes and no” type of answer.

Is this pop filter compatible with the editors keys sl150?

The pop filter has no relation to a microphone. It attaches to the rod on a mic stand. My suggestion is to spend a few more bucks and get a better pop. This one is really flimsy. It’s hard to get it into a position where it will stay.

will this mount well with a blue yeti on a microphone extension boom arm?

That depends! It seems to mount best with something cylindrical that is wide. It doesn’t do well with “square” or “rectangular” (like the boom arm I own) or with small cylindrical pieces (also like I own).

Will it work with Shure sm58

Yes it would work. If you are looking for a reduction in puffiness yes.
