Product Description
mediRegis® C is a sterile collagen fleece for use in dental and oral surgery. The collagen fleece is soft, flexible and completely resorb-able. The primary material is collagen from porcine dermis.
Indication
mediRegis® C is indicated for wound care and to support healing and tissue regeneration in dental and oral surgery applications.
The following applications are indicated:
- Support of haemostyptic wound care of the extraction socket
- Reduction of secondary bleedings
- Reduction of the risk of wound infections after tooth extraction
- Initial regeneration of the extraction socket (socket preservation)
- Protection of the Schneiderian membrane from perforation
- Care of oral wounds
- Care of soft tissue defects
- Promotion of wound healing and support of tissue regeneration
Contraindications
mediRegis® C is contraindicated in patients with known sensitivity against porcine collagen. mediRegis® C is contraindicated in area of infection.
Warnings, Precautions
The product is designed for single use. Reuse is a potential risk of infection; in addition, efficacy can no longer be guaranteed with reuse. mediRegis®C may not be resterilized. Sterility is guaranteed as long as the individual packages have not been opened or damaged. Products from opened individual packages must not be stored for further use. Do not use products after expiry date or from damaged individual packages.
Application
I. Thoroughly clean field of application. If necessary, remove inflamed tissue
and disinfect with suitable rinsing solution.
II. Select suitable size of mediRegis® C and/or adapt to defect through
cutting, rolling or folding.
III. Place mediRegis® C over/in defect site and adapt through moderate
pressure. Duration of pressure exertion depends on the intensity of the
bleeding. After a short time, the collagen fleece will be saturated with blood
and will stabilize the wound.
IV. If necessary, suture the wound.
Since mediRegis® C is completely resorbable, it may remain in the wound until
completion of the healing or regeneration.
Side Effects
Not known so far.
Durability
If stored properly, the shell life is 5 years.
Storage Instructions
mediRegis® C is to be stored dry, protected from the direct sun light and at room temperature (do not store above 25° C).
