Introduction
This manual contains crucial informations about safety, warranty and care. Please read this manual carefully and instruct your children before using Highwaykick5. For safety it is neccessary that only adults carry out the assembling of Highwaykick5. Watch your children while assembling to avoid them choke small parts included in package. Highwaykick5 have been developed as sports equipment for children and adults and with a maximum bodyweight of 80kg. (176lbs)

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
to avoid accidents – act upon following safety instructions
- Highwaykick5 have been developed as sports equipment for children and adults with a maximum body weight of 80kg/176lbs and complies with the requirements of standard EN 14619. However, if small children ride the Highwaykick5 we would ask their parents or those supervising them.
- Check your Highwaykick5 each time before you take it out and make sure that all the locks, levers, nuts and bolts are securely tightened. Check that the wheels are correctly attached and that there are no signs of wear. Make sure that the steering tube is locked at the required height.
- Always wear a helmet, wrist, elbow and knee guards, as well as shoes with rubber soles when you ride your Highwaykick5.
- Highwaykick5 is using a feather break system. To activate the brake, apply firm pressure on rear fender with right or left foot.
- Don’t ride any faster than 10 km/h (6.2 mph) and keep both hands on the handlebar.
- Avoid streets, roads and other places where there is traffic and keep away from other road-users.
- Pay attention on public highways and always follow the Highway Code.
- Never carry a second person on board your Highwaykick5.
- Clean the Highwaykick5 with a soft, moist cloth after each use. You should also clean the bearings regularly using a soft, moist cloth and grease them periodically, exchange if necessary. Do not use solvents.
- Do not lean too heavily on the handlebars since this could cause the tube to bend slightly, thus preventing proper operation of the scooter.
- Check screws at least every 3 weeks and tighten them. Always use screw securing agent.
- Spray movable of the twist mechanism at least every 3 weeks with some penetrating oil and wipe it afterwards.
- Check steering set after about 4 weeks and re-adjust, if necessary.
- Don’t use the Highwaykick5 on wet, oily, sandy, dirty, icy, rough or uneven surfaces. Never use it at dusk or night.
- You should not change anything on the scooter itself as this could reduce the safety.
- Self-locking connections may lose their ability and should be changed regularly.
- Sharp edges should be removed immediately to prevent injuries.
- Avoid doing stunts – ride your Highwaykick5 according to your own ability.
- Don`t make any modifications to your Highwaykick5 that could endanger your safety.
- Highwaykick5 supports up to 80kg/176lbs.
- Attention: If you keep loosening the axle screws, the screw locking devices will become less effective.

WARNINGS!
- Important! Don’t ride down steep paths or faster than 10 km/h (6.2 mph) with the Push-Bike as there is no break in this ride modus!
- The scooter brake becomes hot! Avoid direct contact with your skin after braking, as you may be burned. Avoid applying the brake continuously for a long period.
- Important! Whenever you’re riding your Highwaykick5 wear protective equipment like helmet, elbow guards, knee-pads, wrist protectors and gloves and tighten the chin strap of the helmet. A fall without wearing protective gear can lead to serious or even fatal injuries.
- Don`t use in wet weather, the risk of accident and injury is much higher as your grip on the road, braking and visibility are impaired in rain.
- Don`t ride your Highwaykick5 at dusk, at night or when visibility is restricted – there is a greater risk of accident and injury.
- Important! The self-locking bolts and other self-locking parts may lose their efficiency.
- Children may only use the Highwaykick5 in the presence of an adult.
CARE – WARRANTY
CARE – Do a regularly check on all screws to make sure they are tightened
correctly. Oil the wheel bearings and joints regularly. Also check on wheels
and change them if necessary. All spare parts available are to be found in
section 3 and on www.scootandride.com. After
every use of Highwaykick5 it should be cleaned with a wet or watery textile
and undertaked an optical control. Store your product in a dry and dust-free
place.
LIMITED WARRANTY – The product Highwaykick5 applies to the minimum
statutory warranty of the particular country on material- and production
defects. During this time it is in SCOOT AND RIDE‘s discretion if products are
repaired or replaced. This warranty is not covering defects originated in
improperly use such as un correct assembling, careless handling or common wear
out.
WARRANTY ADJUSTMENTS – Warranty claim is solely coming into effective
with proof of purchase. Due to that it is absolutely necessary to keep your
receipt. In case of warranty claim SCOOT AND RIDE or the responsible dealer is
deciding if Highwaykick5 will be repaired or replaced.
