PLEASE READ THE USER GUIDE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
- What Is IPL?
- IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. IPL uses a broad spectrum (470nm-1200nm) light to heat and destroy hair follicles, giving long-term hair-free skin.
- How Does It Work?
- IPL is attracted to the melanin in our hair. Light energy emitted by The Fuzz Gun 2.0 is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, which turns into heat and destroys the hair at the root.
- Is IPL Suitable For You?
- Due to the limitations of current-day technology, IPL is not suitable for darker skin tones as the flash of light is attracted to the darker melanin of the skin rather than the hair. Please refer to the skin tone chart on the next page to assess if IPL is suitable for you.
- How Often Should I Use My Fuzz Gun 2.0?
- We recommend using your Fuzz Gun 2.0 once a week for the first 12 weeks of treatment. After this, use your handset once every month for 3 months or until satisfied with your results. From then on, a short maintenance treatment every 3 – 4 months should be enough to keep you completely hair free.
- Note: Using your Fuzz Gun 2.0 more often than once every week will not speed up the process. Consistency over time is key.

Hair Suitability
The Fuzz Gun 2.0 is suitable for all hair colors except for red or bright
white/grey hair
FIRST USE
- Shave the area of treatment, or use an electric trimmer with zero height blades. The closer to the skin you can get, the better the flash will penetrate to the hair root. Do not pluck, wax or epilate the hair, as the hair root needs to be intact for IPL to work
- Clean and dry your skin completely and make sure you have no lotions or creams on. IPL doesn’t need any creams or gels for your treatment.
Spot Test
The spot test is used to determine if your skin is suitable for IPL, and to
help select the best intensity level for each treatment area.
- Do a spot test on each area you intend to treat.
- Setup your Fuzz Gun 2.0 on single-shot mode
- Test the flash using intensity level 1 by pressing the flash button once
- Move the handset to the next section of skin, increase the intensity level to 2, and repeat
- Repeat this process until you reach intensity level 5, or the maximum level recommended for your skin type
Tips and Tricks
- The hair follicle needs to be intact for IPL to be effective. The goal is to get as much light energy to the hair root so that the hair is destroyed. This means shave or trim as close to the skin as possible and do not wax, pluck or epilate.
- If you have sensitive skin, shave 24 hours before you intend to use your Fuzz Gun 2.0
- Exfoliate before use to remove any dead skin cells. It’s not essential, but it will help the light penetrate better, and your skin will look amazing.
- Moisturise afterward. Now that you’ve cleared away the jungle, it’s time to take pride in what lies beneath
- CAUTION: Take care to not let the loose skin of your nutsack or shaft touch the glass of the flash window, as it can get quite hot. Make sure the skin only comes in contact with the cold silver surface of the treatment head. The best way is to avoid pressing down hard on these areas and try to pull the skin tight so it doesn’t bunch up and touch the glass.
HOW TO USE
The Fuzz Gun 2.0 has 3 modes of operation; Single Shot, Glide, and Full Auto.
It also has Snow Balls™ Ice Cooling Technology which cools down the treatment
head around the flash window to between 0 – 5°C. This helps dissipate any heat
from the flash bulb, giving you a gentle, pain free hair removal experience.
The flash window also has a contact sensor which must be covered for the flash
bulb to fire. If you are having trouble getting your Fuzz Gun to fire, simply
adjust the position of the treatment head to make sure the flash window is
fully covered.
Single Shot
When you turn on your Fuzz Gun 2.0, it will be in single shot mode. This means
when you press the flash button, you will get a flash of light from the flash
window, as long as the flash window is sufficiently covered. This mode can be
useful for smaller areas such as underarms or your prized family jewels.
Glide
Glide mode occurs when you keep hold of the flash button and keep the
treatment head in contact with your skin. The flash bulb will continue to fire
as you hold the flash button and glide the handset across your skin.
Full Auto
Full Auto mode will continuously fire the flash bulb, without you having to
hold any buttons, as long as the contact sensor within the flash window is
covered. To activate Full Auto Mode, press and hold the cooling button for 2-3
seconds while being sure that the flash window is uncovered to avoid
unintentionally firing the Fuzz Gun 2.0. Flashing will begin as soon as you
then make contact with your skin. Full Auto Mode is well suited for large
treatment areas such as your legs, chest, or back.

FAQ
-
Can I use this on my nutsack?
The Fuzz Gun 2.0 has been designed specifically with your delicate twig n berries in mind. Naturally, fellow Dude Pruners also use the Fuzz Gun 2.0 on their back, chest, butt, legs, scalp, and arm pits. You do you. -
Does IPL remove hair permanently?
Beware of any claims of permanent hair removal. All forms of Laser or IPL hair removal will need a maintenance process. After your initial sessions with your handset, you should only need to do a treatment every 3-4 months to maintain smooth hairless skin. -
Can women use the Fuzz Gun 2.0?
Ladies love getting their hands on a Fuzz Gun. Although we made a male specific IPL device, the Fuzz Gun 2.0 is gentle enough for women to use wherever they have unwanted hair, including bikini, legs, armpits and face. -
How long will it take until I see results?
You should start to see results after 2-3 treatments, with complete results after 12 weeks. This varies from person to person. -
I have sensitive skin, will IPL hurt?
IPL doesn’t hurt at all. There is no zap, or burn, just a flash of light. The Fuzz Gun 2.0 has 5 power levels. Start at the lowest setting and use the SNOW BALLS™ Ice Cooling function to reduce any warmth from the flash bulb, especially when using on your man-nuggets and meat-whistle. -
Is there a warranty?
