SAFETY

By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord cannot become entangled.
The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.

This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.
To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
Clean the grill plate by wiping it with a soft sponge or cloth in dampened warm water.
Dry the grill plate with a dry cloth or paper towel.
Do not immense the grill toaster in water or put it in a dishwasher.
Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)
When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will soon fade.

USE

Preheating the grill
- Unlock the grill toaster by opening the safety lock at the side of it.
- Plug it into the power outlet and keep the cover closed while the grill toaster preheats.
- The red [POWER INDICATOR] lights will go on indicating that the grill has begun preheating.
- Wait for 3-5 minutes for it to reach baking temperature. The appliance is ready for use when the red light goes out and only the green [READY] light is on.
- Do not touch the grill plate at any time.
Using as a contact or press grill.
Good for grilling sandwiches, burgers, boneless meat, and thin cuts.
- For best results sightly grease the anti-stick coating of the bottom and upper grill plates with oil or butter.
- Preheat the grill for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the prepared ingredients on the bottom grill plate and close the grill by pressing the handle downwards. The upper plate tilts in order to provide even pressure.
- When the food has been grilled, remove the food from the grill plate using a flat wooden or plastic spatula.
- Never use metal tongs or knives as these can cause damage to the grill plates.
- Disconnect the plug from the outlet and let the grill completely cool down.
Using as an open grill
Good for grilling vegetables, burgers, steaks, boneless meat, fish.
- Open the grill toaster and push the [180°] angle button upwards to fully open the grill so that the upper and lower grill plates become 1 large grill plate.
- For best results sightly grease the anti-stick coating of the bottom and upper grill plates with oil or butter.
- Preheat the grill for 3 – 5 minutes.
- Place the ingredients onto the grill plates.
- When the food has been grilled, remove the food from the grill plates using a flat wooden or plastic spatula.
- Never use metal tongs or knives as these can cause damage to the grill plates.
- Disconnect the plug from the outlet and let the grill completely cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not dishwasher proof.
