Safety

  • By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord cannot become entangled.
  • The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
  • This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for. In worst case the food can catch fire. (i.e. do not use more than one tea spoon of oil, no meat that will release to much grease or water intended for boiling foods.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.
  • To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
  • The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having an earthed contact (for class I appliances).
  • WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of an electric shock.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
  • Surfaces indicated with this logo are liable to get hot during use.
  • In order to prevent disruptions of the airflow do not put anything on top of the appliance and make sure there is always 10 centimeter of free space around the appliance.
  • After the baking process the appliance needs to cooldown, this cooling process will activate automatically when the timer is done. Avoid to unplug the appliance from the net socket before the cooling process is finished because the remaining hot air can damage the appliance.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.
    • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments.
    • Bed and breakfast type environments.
    • Farm houses.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
  • Remove all packaging material.
  • Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.
  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal and level surface, do not place the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.

Note: When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This odour is only temporary and will disappear soon.

USING THE ACCESSORIES

Rotating basket

  • The rotating basket can be used to prepare chips or other potato products, pieces of vegetables, meat and frozen products like chicken nuggets or squid rings.

  • Don’t overfill the basket with ingredients, if it’s to full, the food will not cook evenly.

  • Close the basket and ensure that it is shut correctly so that it can’t open during use.

  • To insert the rotating basket, inset the mounting screw located on the left side of the basket (see left – L and right- R markings on basket) into the left shaft in the oven then fix the mounting pin on the right side of the basket into the shaft on the right. Turn the basket until it is fixated into the axis and cannot move.

  • Check if it is placed correctly.

  • Always use the removal handle to remove the rotating basket from inside the oven. The basket will be very hot.

  • To remove the basket, attach the handle to mounting screw and the mounting pin on the basket then gently tilt the right side of the basket upwards and remove it.

Rotating spit fork

  • The rotating spit fork is suitable for grilling large pieces of meat, but do not place pieces of meat that are too large, the spit fork must still be able to rotate.
  • To attach food to the spit fork, open the 2 locking screws on the spit fork, slide open the 2 forks to fit the size of the food, the 2 notches on the sliding bar mark the outermost positions of the locking screws, do not slide the forks beyond this point to enable correct operation.
  • Attach the food to the spit fork and tighten the screws.
  • Attach the mounting screw on one side of the spit fork to the mounting shaft on the inside left of the oven and the other mounting screw of the spit fork to the shaft to the on inside right of the oven.
  • Always use the removal handle to remove the spit fork from inside the oven. The spit fork will be very hot.
  • To remove the spit fork, attach the handle to mounting pins on the spit fork then gently tilt right side of the spit fork upwards then and remove it.

Baking racks and Fat collecting / Drip tray

  • Insert the baking racks by sliding them into the rails inside the oven.
  • The heating element is located at the top of the cooking space. The higher a rack is placed, the more intense the heat is from above. The food will cook faster using the upper rack.
  • The middle position can be selected to achieve uniform heating from all sides
  • The bottom rails are suitable for gentle cooking.
  • Always use oven mittens to remove the baking racks from the oven.

Fat collecting/ baking tray

  • Always place the fat collecting/baking tray in the lower rails of the oven to collect dripping fat, food residues or crumbs. It can also be used as a baking tray by placing food on it. When used as a baking tray use the middle rails for the best results.
DISPLAY PANEL
  • Power/Start-Stop Icon
    Once the appliance is plugged in, the Power icon will light up. Selecting the Power icon once will cause the full display panel to be illuminated. Selecting the Power icon a second time will activate the cooking process at the default temperature of 185°C and time of 15 mins. Selecting the Power icon at any time during the cooking process will stop the operation.[OFF] and the operating indicator will be shown in the display then the display will be deactivated after 20 seconds.

  • Internal Light
    Select the internal light icon to turn the internal light on or off. This will help you check cooking progress while the appliance is in operation.
    The internal light will illuminate when the oven door is opened. Opening the door during the cooking process will pause the cooking process. The operation will resume when the door is closed.

  • Rotation Icon
    Select this icon when cooking with the rotating basket or spit fork. This function can be used in combination with any of the cooking pre-set programs.

  • Temperature Control Icons
    These icons enable you to raise or lower cooking temperature by 5°C intervals ranging from 80°C -200°C. The temperature range for the Dehydration setting ranges from 30°C – 80°C.

  • Cooking Time Control Icons
    These icons enable you to program the cooking time. The cooking time can be programmed between 1-90 minutes in all modes except Dehydration which is programmable in 30-minute intervals between 2 – 24 hours.

  • LED Digital Display
    The Digital Numeric Display will switch between Temperature and Time Remaining during the cooking process.

  • In Operation Icon
    This icon will blink in sequence while cooking is in progress and continue blinking up to 20 seconds once the appliance is shut down.

  • Cooking Pre-sets
    Selecting any of the Pre-set program icons sets the Time and Temperature to the pre-set’s default value. The cooking process starts automatically five seconds after the pre-set program has been selected or by pressing the power icon. You can override these pre-set values with Time and Temperature control icons.

USE
  • Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket.

  • Open the oven door.

  • If the fat collecting tray is not to be used as a baking tray, slide it into the lowest rails of the oven.

  • Select a suitable accessory for the food to be prepared.

  • Process the food and place it on or in the desired accessory and attach the accessory to the appliance. See the section “Using the Accessories” in this manual.

  • Close the oven door.
    Press the Power icon. The display will be activated and the default time and temperature will blink consecutively in the display.

  • Set the cooking time and temperature manually, select one of the 10 pre-set cooking programs or press the power icon to start the operation using the default setting.

Manual setting of the cooking time and temperature

  • Press the temperature + or temperature – icon to program to the desired cooking temperature. The temperature will increase or decrease in 5°C increments.
  • The temperature can be set between 80°C – 200°C.
  • The operation will begin automatically after 3 seconds or by pressing the Power icon.
  • Press the time + and time – icon to set the desired cooking time. The time will increase or decrease in 1-minute increments.
  • The cooking time can be set between 1 – 90 minutes
  • The operation will begin automatically after 3 seconds or by pressing the Power icon.

Using a pre-set cooking program

  • Activate the desired program by touching the pre -set program icon, the icon will blink and the operation will start automatically after 3 seconds or after pressing the Power icon.
  • When the operation has started, the “In operation” icon will blink and the temperature and remaining time will be shown on display.
  • The correct cooking time depends on the thickness of the food. Times can also vary due to the quantity and consistency of the food. The time settings are only guidelines and can be adapted to your taste. Double the time for tough meat. Extend the time by at least 20% for deep-frozen food.
  • Make sure that meat and poultry are thoroughly cooked before serving.

After the cooking time has elapsed, the appliance will beep 5 times before it switches off automatically. The fan will continue running for about 30 seconds to cool down the unit.

  • Press the Power icon if the operation must be stopped prematurely.
  • Open the oven door and take the cooked items out of the oven. Always use mittens and use the removal handle to take out the accessories. See the section “Using the accessories”.
  • After use, remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
  • Allow the used accessories and device to cool down and then clean them.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.

  • Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.
    To remove the oven door –

    1. Open the oven door

    2. Press down on the 2 locks inside the oven door.

    3. Pull the oven door downwards to detach it from the appliance.
      To reattach the oven door –

    4. Align the locks on the oven door with the latches on the appliance.

    5. Press down on the 2 locks inside the oven door.

    6. Pull the door upwards so that the latches fall into the grooves on the locks.

  • Clean the pan and basket with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.

  • The pan and basket are not dishwasher-proof. If dirt is stuck to the basket or the bottom of the pan, fill the pan with hot water with some washing-up liquid. Put the basket in the pan and let the pan and the basket soak for about 10 minutes.

  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.

ENVIRONMENT
This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its durability, but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of electric and electronic domestic appliances. This symbol on the appliance, instruction manual and packaging puts your attention to this important issue. The materials used in this appliance can be recycled. By recycling of used domestic appliances you contribute an important push to the protection of our environment. Ask your local authorities for information regarding the point of recollection.
