Safety Precautions

  • Please confirm that the voltage meets the requirements before use. Improper voltage will damage the equipment and pose a safety risk.
  • Please install the device correctly and make sure to cut off the power during installation.

Notes
  • The APP and product device firmware will be updated from time to time. If you have an upgrade, please upgrade it online without prior notice.
  • Please make sure your phone connects to the Wi-Fi which you want the camera to connect to.
  • This security camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with 802.llb/g/n protocol, it doesn’t support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • This security camera does not accept special characters – ! @ # $ % A & * () (including camera’s name and password, network’s name and password).
  • Please do not use a non-English letter in the Wi-Fi name.
  • Please do not use Wi-Fi without a password.
  • If your Wi-Fi has an admin password and guest password, please use the admin password to connect the camera.

If you use POE network switch to connect the device, please disable the POE power mode of the network switch. Otherwise, the device will be damaged.

  • Please ensure that the Wi-Fi signal strength is strong; if the camera is far away from the signal source it won’t be connected successfully for the first time.
  • If your router is connected with too many devices, the camera will fail to connect Wi-Fi because of the IP address conflict.
  • Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices or metal in order to avoid wireless interference, including Wi-Fi routers and phones.
  • This security camera supports events recording when Wi-Fi is disconnected, but it is better to connect Wi-Fi to work.
  • Please make sure the micro SD card you used is a genuine brand and the micro SD card is not over 128GB.
  • An incompatible SD card may cause the camera to drop off the connection.
  • Please format the SD card to FAT32 format on PC if the SD card was used before you use it.
  • DO NOT remove Micro SD card while the device is ON, it may damage the device or Micro SD card.
  • Avoid dropping the device.
  • Please pay attention to environmental protection and recycle appropriately. Burning this product is prohibited in order to avoid an explosion.
  • Do not install the device in a location that is wet, dusty, or accessible to children.
  • Please use and store within the allowable temperature and humidity range. Do not disassemble the equipment at will.

Tap the ‘●●●’ icon on the top right of live view interface to enter into the Settings, and tap’+-‘ to go back to live view.

Private Mode

You can turn it on when you don’t want the camera to monitor the situation.

Night vision Mode

Auto Mode: The spotlights will light up when the camera detects motions, the images are in full color. If the camera doesn’t detect motions, the images are in black and white color.
IR Mode: Black and white images; the spotlights won’t light up when the camera detects motions.
Color Mode: Color night vision; the spotlights will light up all night, you can get color night vision under this mode.

Detection Alarm

Alarm Sensitivity Level: Set the sensitivity of motion according to your preference
Activity Area: Enable to draw an area to detect motions
Surveillance Area Setting: If it shows a black screen, please enable APP storage setting by phone to get it work
Human Body Filtering: Detect human only
Motion Tracking: The camera will follow the detected target rotation
Schedule: Add schedule timer to get alarm
Trigger Siren: Camera will alarm sounds when it detects motions

Method 1 (for one device)
Access ‘Live View’ < ‘Messages’ < ‘All’ to check all alarm images, you can click ‘View’ to watch the corresponding recordings.

Recording

Your camera comes with Event Recording by default. It will only record motion detection events. You can also enable Non-Stop recording in the Settings -> Storage Settings- > Recording Mode. To purchase cloud storage, please go to the Settings -> Purchase VAS.

Video Playback

Tap Playback icon to play the videos recorded in the Micro SD card. If you have purchased cloud storage service, tap on Cloud storage to playback the recorded historical events.

Check video history by date. The numbers in white stand for the dates that have video recordings.
② Time Line:
Slide the timeline to the left or right to locate video recordings according to time period. Pinch with your finger and thumb to zoom in/out the timeline. The blue bar ‘I ‘ stand for a video clip that had been recorded.
③ Screenshot:
Tap to capture a photo and save to Albums, where you can share it to others.
④ Record:
Tap to start recording a video, tap again to end and save to Albums, where you share the video clips to others.

Q1: How can I reset the factory settings of my camera?****

Al: Delete the camera from APP list directly or press the reset button for 5s till you hear the sound, the factory settings of the camera will be restored. After resetting the camera, you must connect it to network again.

Q2: I have selected 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and input Wi-Fi password correctly, why does the camera still not connected to Wi-Fi?****

A2: ① Please make sure the network you used in your camera and the phone are the same one.
② Please make sure your router open DHCP, you can log in the router setting and find the DHCP to check it closed or opened. If it closes, then it will not distribute the IP address to this IP camera, and it will fail.
③ Please make sure the network you used is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
④ Please press the ‘reset button’ for 5 seconds undercharging to reset the camera if you want to change Wi-Fi.
⑤ If you choose a Wi-Fi connection, please make sure the Wi-Fi signal connected to the camera is up to 80%.
⑥ If your camera can’t connect well but your network is good, please take out your SD card and try again, may the  card is incompatible.
⑦ If the device connected to WIFI is excessive, it will cause the IP address conflict and fail to connect to Wi-Fi.
⑧ Please keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices or metal in order to avoid wireless interference, including Wi-Fi routers and phones.

Q3: How to connect the camera to another router?****

A3: The first log in the APP to delete the device or press the reset button to reset the device, and then configure the device again through the APP.

Q4: SD card cannot be recognized. After a period, video and cycle videos cannot be recorded?****

A4: Please check your camera’s settings and make sure you set up the cameras to record videos on the SD card.
There is something wrong with the compatibility of the SD card or the SD card itself if it cannot be recognized. Please check whether the SD card is compatible or not and whether the SD card is damaged or not. Please format it first, and try it again. SD card in the camera is more easily damaged than in the other facilities because the SD card is reading and writing the videos all the time in the camera. If it still can’t work, please change another SD card to use.
An incompatible SD card may cause can’t connect network well.
It is recommended to insert and remove the SD card after power off the device.
Check if the SD card is under normal service conditions and the format is FAT32. The APP shall
suggest ‘could not find SD card’ under an unstable network of the mobile phone or the device
Using the advanced intelligent alarm push algorithm to ensure that the alarm message will not be frequently, but the camera will record all the alarm messages and videos.

Q5: The device is online and has an alarm event, but the mobile phone cannot receive the information?****

A5: First confirm that APP allows notification in the settings of your mobile phone. And turn off the “Power saving mode” of your phone.
If your phone is a SAMSUNG phone, please click ‘Settings’ to allow the app to start automatically when your phone is turned on. Or you will not receive the APP notification.
Under normal circumstances, when an anomaly is detected, a message will appear in the notification bar of your mobile phone. You should set a notification sound or vibration on your mobile phone.
In addition, when viewing the real-time video in the APP, you cannot receive an alarm of the cameral being viewed. Because the device defaults the camera being viewed indicating that the user is focusing on the monitoring video, and there is no need for an alarm.

Q6: Why I can’t hear any sounds from my camera?****

A6: The camera will record sound automatically, please turn on the sound icon if you want to hear sounds at live viewing. If you want to get a two-way audio function, please remember to turn on two-way talk from the camera setting.

Q7: Why my camera is so hot?****

A7: It is normal for the camera to become hot, which is caused by the working of the LED light. It is a normal phenomenon because of the LED lamp is working. It handles temperature range between -4 °F and 140°F ( -20°C to 60°C).

Q8: How to share devices?****

A8:
One camera only can be connected by one device.
Cannot share accounts in different registered regions
If you want to view the camera on both phones, you don’t need to scan the code to connect it again.
Please apply for a new account on another mobile phone as the same as you created the first smart life account, please choose the same country when you create the new account.
If you use the same Smart Life account on different devices, its notification may not work well.
Method 1: In the live video viewing interface, click the Settings button in the upper right corner to enter the device settings interface, click on “Share Device”, then click “Add Sharing”, enter the mailbox or phone number of the user you want to share, click “Finish”, then share success.
Method 2: If you want to share your home’s devices, please access Me<Home Management the choose the home name and add a member.

Q9: The camera is abnormally offline. How to check it?****

A9:
Check if the power and network are normal.
Reboot the device
Reconfigure the camera
Check if the home network broadband is normal
