IMPORTANT NOTICE
Safety Instructions
- Before using, make sure the wcs-5 has been placed in a clean smooth surface.
- Make sure the power cord is plugged into a power outlet and make sure the power cord is not squeezed or winding.
- When applying fluid please be careful not to over apply causing the liquid to spill on the floor or surrounding areas. If a spill occurs wipe it immediately.
- During operation do not leave the machine unattended.
- Before turning on the vacuum the record should be in rotation. Vacuum should only be applied when the record is wet.
- There are no serviceable parts inside this unit and opening the unit will void the warranty.
- The vacuum cycle of this unit should not be in operation longer than 20-30 minutes continuously and should be shut down to cool between cleaning sessions.
Safety Notice
- When using the record cleaner, do not tilt the brush, to prevent the aluminum part of the brush from contacting the record surface.
- Make sure the clamp is firmly pushing down the record, if it is not the record may stop spinning when the vacuum is applied.
- The cleaning process of this machine will not repair severe damage and surface scratches of a record.
- Be sure to carefully read the instructions of your chosen cleaning liquid prior to use.
PREPARATION BEFORE USE

Setting up the machine
- Unpack the machine and put in a stable location.
- Remove the record clamp from the platter.
- Suction wand rotates counterclockwise to the reset position.
- Plug the power cord into the IEC receptacle on the back of the machine.
- Flip the turntable switch up or down and check if the turntable is rotating. Flip on the vacuum switch and check that the vacuum is working.
- Turn off the vacuum and the power switch.
Cleaning a record
- Make sure the plug at the end of the discharge tube on the back, is tightly inserted into the tube.
- Using the supplied brush clean off any lose dirt or dust from the record.
- Place the record on the turntable and screw down the two parts of the record clamp until the rubber seal is securely over the record label.
- Start the turntable. Put the proper amount of cleaning fluid (a squirt or two) on the surface of the record and use the brush to uniformly spread the fluid onto the record. Gently hold the brush on the grooves during rotation.
- Turn the suction arm so that it is over the record and then turn the vacuum switch to R.
- Adjust the amount of desired suction with the variable suction knob.
- At this point, if desired, the turntable switch can be switched to L and the platter motion will turn in reverse.
- Allow the suction arm to remove the fluid and dirt from the record surface. When dry, turn the suction knob to its lowest setting, then switch off the vacuum and turn the suction arm away from the record.
- Switch off the turntable and unscrew the clamp.
- Repeat steps 1 – 9 to clean the other side.

discretion, free of charge for one year after purchase, at any authorized
Music Hall dealer, provided the unit was purchased from an authorized dealer.
Your original sales receipt is used as proof of purchase date. Music Hall can
take no responsibility for defects arising from accident, misuse, abuse, wear
and tear, neglect or through unauthorized repair and or adjustment; neither
can Music Hall accept responsibility for damage or loss occurring during
transit to or from the person claiming under the guarantee.
Warranty
Your Music Hall wcs-5 warranty covers parts and labor costs for one year from
the purchase date. After one year, you must pay for both parts and labor
costs. The warranty does not cover transportation costs at any time.
Claims under guarantee
The wcs-5 should be packed in the original packing and returned to the dealer
from whom it was purchased, or to an authorized Music Hall Service Center. It
should be sent by a reputable carrier carriage prepaid. Do not send the record
cleaner via USPS (United States Postal Service). No responsibility can be
accepted for the unit while in transit to the dealer, customer, or authorized
service agent, therefore, customers are advised to insure the unit against
loss, damage, or theft while in transit.
