Can I clean a gallon water jug with this?

Yes. It says in the instructions to use 1 tablet for 1 litter of water, so you will need 3 tablets for a gallon, but I used these to clean my plastic 1-gallon water jug and they worked fine.

Are these effective for cleaning the interior of an electric hot water kettle made of metal or plastic?

Absolutely! Stainless steel, ceramic, and all plastics respond amazingly well to Bottle Bright. I would advise mixing two tablets with warm water and soaking the larger container overnight if the stains are really difficult to remove.

Are Nalgene bottles compatible with this?

yes! These will complement Nalgene bottles well. We advise using warm water and letting the item sit for at least 30 minutes to remove stubborn, set-in stains and buildup.

Can we clean plastic Sodastream bottles with these tablets?

I’ve only ever used it to clean a metal coffee pot, and it was successful. I’m unsure if the pills can be applied to plastic.

How much water can a single pill purify?

One of my tablets was split in half when I opened the packaging. I previously applied it to a single insulated cup that held about 12 ounces. I was enchanted! I’m not sure whether I can answer your question completely, to be honest. Perhaps this comparison will be useful. Nothing else was able to get this cup clean. I believe it is worth the price if, like me, you are concerned about the cost-to-benefit ratio.
