GETTING TO KNOW YOUR TEA MASTER

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
IMPORTANT: Please read, understand, and comply with all of the instructions provided in this manual before using the device. Failure to comply with the instructions given in this manual or using the device not mentioned in this manual may cause in serious personal injury or equip­ ment damage.

General Safety

• DO NOT touch the base or the glass parts of the kettle while the appliance is operating or immediately after operation.These components will be hot and may cause burns or other personal injuries.
• DO NOT fill the kettle above the “MAX”line.Doing this may cause the water to boil over during operation and may result in scalding.Minimum amount of water needed for boiling is 0.5 L, too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
• ALWAYS handle with care when there is hot water inside the kettle.Failure to do so may result in burns or scalding.
• Use the appliance with the specified voltage 120V, 60Hz.
• DO NOT allow children to use or play with this appliance. Always keep this kettle and its components out of reach from children.
• DO NOT use the kettle if the kettle is malfunctioning, if it is broken or chipped, or if the power cord or plug is damaged in any way. Stop using and contact with Customer Support immediately.(page 14)
• ALWAYS unplug the kettle when it is not being used. This will prevent moisture from causing a short circuit in the power base while it is plugged in.
• This appliance is for indoor use ONLY.

Use & Care

• ALWAYS place the kettle on a dry, flat surface.
• DO NOT place the kettle on or near heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, and etc.
• DO NOT turn on the kettle while the lid is open.
• DO NOT cover the opening of the kettle while it is operating. Doing so may result in damage to the kettle.
• ALWAYS empty and clean the kettle after using each time. If necessary, descale the kettle by following the instructions in Descaling the Kettle (page 13)
• DO NOT attempt to repair the kettle or its parts by yourself or through other third-party appliances when it is broken. Doing so may result in further damage or personal injury and will void your warranty.
• DO NOT dispose of this kettle in regular household waste.
• The kettle will be automatically shut off in 10 minutes once the setting program is complet­ ed.
• If the kettle has been taken away from the base,the system will be keeping the in-progress setting for 10 minutes.

NOTE:
At higher elevations, water will boil at a lower temperature. At sea level, water boils at 212°F. For every SOO feet/152 meters in elevation gain, the boiling point for water decreases by approx. 0.9F/0.5C.

Before first use

1. Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels attached to your kettle.
2. It is recommended that filling the kettle to the maximum level with cold water before your first using, bring to the boil by selecting the BOIL 212 °F, then discard the water.
3. Your kettle will only operate when positioned on the power base. The kettle will automatically switch off when the water has reached the selected temperature.

Water test
Do not remove the glass kettle from the package if it is broken. Contact Customer Support immediately to replace your kettle (see page 14).
Perform the Water Test before using your kettle to make sure it’s working properly. Do not drink the water that is boiled during this initial test.

USING YOUR TEA MASTER

1. Remove tea infuser lid,fill with fresh water(enough for the cups of tea you wish to make),and place back the lid in place.
   CAUTION!
   Always fill the kettle between the minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX) marks on the water window. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled. Filling above the maximum (MAX) mark may result in boiling water splashing from the kettle.

2. Place the kettle firmly on the power base. short press the START CANCEL button, rotate the knob left and right to select the preset you need, and then press START CANCEL button to start heating.( Icon is always on during heating)
   

3. Once the water has reached the desired temperature, there will be 3 beep sound. Then you can add your tea leaves/ tea bags into the infuser.
   

4. The correct steep time is depending on the type of tea and your personal prefer­ ence.Enjoy the tea as you like.

BASIC OPERATION POWER ON AND OFF

1. Power ON: Once plugged in, the START CANCEL indicator will keep lighting, press down START CANCEL button to turn on the kettle.
   NOTE:
   Press on START CANCEL to turn on the kettle,the indicator lights will be lit from right to left, left to right one time each and the display will be turned on.

2. POWER OFF: Press and hold the START CANCEL button for 3 seconds to turn off the kettle.
   

Boiling
Please follow the instructions below after the kettle is turned on properly:

1. After the kettle is turned on properly, please rotate the knob left and right to select 9 different temperature presets: Boil/Black/Oolong/White/Green/Delicate/Coffee/Warm/Formula. (After selecting a mode, the corresponding text will be blinking for a while on the LCD display.)

   NOTE:
   l. Minimum capacity of water needed for boiling is 0.5 L.
   2. This kettle has a boil dry protection feature
   If there is no water inside the kettle during operation, it will automatically turn off to prevent the overheating.
   3. If the kettle overheats, fill it with cold water and wait 2 minutes before resuming.

2. Press START CANCEL button to start boiling. Once boiling begins, the icon and the real-time temperature will be displayed on the screen.
   

3. Boiling completed
   When water temperature reaches the pre-set temperature, the boiling process will be completed. The icon will disappear and beep sound reminder after boiling water is completed (except mute mode).
   

VARIABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL TABLE
This base lists some common tea and coffee varieties and the recommended temperature to select. It is a guideline only and may vary depending on preference, brand and age of tea/coffee used.
Experiment with your favorite tea/coffee and adjust the temperatures and steeping times to suit personal taste.

Featured function

2 Hours Keep warm
After turning on, follow the instructions below to complete the KEEP WARM setting:

1. Select Temperature/Presets: Rotate PROGRAM knob to select your desired temperature or presets, including Black/Oolong/White/Green/Delicate/Coffee/Warm/Formula.
   

2. Set Keep Warm Mode: Press the KEEP WARM button to set the keep warm mode. The KEEP WARM button will be light on at the same time.(You will see 02:00 and(icon are displayed on the LCD.)
   

3. Finish/Cancel the Keep Warm Mode: The keep warm mode will be automatically finished in 2 hours. Or you can stop the keep warm function by pressing down the KEEP WARM button. (When the mode has finished or cancelled, the KEEP WARM button light will be off).
   

NOTE:

1. For safety concern, Boil mode /207F-21 2FTemperature are not applicable for keep warm mode.
2. When the set temperature is lower than the actual temperature, the keep warm mode will start working once the actual temp has dropped to the set temp.

Custom Temp
After turning on,follow the instructions below to complete a Custom Temp setting:

1. Press Custom Temp button to activate Custom Temp setting.(The actual temperature display will be blinking)
   

2. Rotate the PROGRAM knob to adjust the required temperature. (Custom Temp range is 104-212°F)
   

3. Press START CANCEL button to start heating.

Memory Mode
The kettle features an internal “memory” that lets you leave the kettle off the base for up to l 0minutes without it going into memory mode. When returned to the base, it will restart the heating and/or Keep Warm cycles right where they left off.
Sleep Mode
If the unit is not in use for l 0 minutes, it will revert to sleep mode. The heater and display will be off, but your last selections will remain in the unit’s memory.
Mute Mode

1. When the kettle is on,press and hold the” CUSTOM TEMP”button for 3 seconds to enter the
   MUTE mode. Mute icon is on.In Mute mode, there won’t be beep sound or key tone.

2. Press and hold “CUSTOM TEMP” button for 3 seconds to quit Mute mode.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

General Cleaning
We recommend cleaning the kettle after using each time.

1. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.
2. Allow the kettle to completely cool down, then pour out any remaining water.
3. Wash the kettle with warm, soapy water. Dry it thoroughly with a soft, clean towel.

Descaling the Kettle
You should descale the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently. Descaling removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle. Always descale the kettle after it has been stored for long periods of time and before storing it.

1. Fill the kettle with l cup of distilled vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water (1:2 ratio).
2. Boil the mixture, then let it soak in the kettle for 2 hours.
3. Pour out the solution, then wipe the limescale away with a cloth or nonabrasive sponge.
4. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft cloth.
5. Repeat as needed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

5. For additional safety, the kettle is fitted with a thermal cut out. In the event of severe overheating, the kettle will be automatically shut down to prevent further damage. If this occurs, please call our Customer Support.
The kettle will not work| Check the glass jug if is securely positioned on the Power Base.
No display on the screen| 1. If the unit is not in use for 5 minutes, it will revert to sleep mode. The heater and display will be off, but your last selections will remain in the unit’s memory. To turn the kettle back on, simply press any button, or lift it up and then return it to the base.
2. To re-activate the kettle out of sleep mode–Press”START CANCEL” button on the Power Base.
I cannot select a certain function| Certain features cannot be selected or changed during the heating or brewing cycle.

Please carefully follow our warranty process to minimize any delays:

1. Note the product model name. It can be found on a sticker located underneath or on the back of the product.
2. Provide the order number for a purchase made through Amazon.

The typical turn around time to address Warranty claims is l O business days, depending on your geographical location and type of damage or Warranty claim.
This warranty does not apply to the following:
Damage due to abuse, accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, or vandalism.
Improper or inadequate maintenance.
