SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the appliance from the box.
Remove any package from the appliance.
Place the packaging inside the box and either store or dispose safely.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using the Steam Iron for the first time, ensure that it is switched off and unplugged from the mains power supply.
Clean the exterior surface of the Steam Iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Do not immerse the Steam Iron in water or any other liquid.
Note: when using the Steam Iron for the first time, a light odour and small amount of smoke may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation around Steam Iron.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
STEP 1: Ensure that the Steam Iron is switched off and unplugged from the mains power supply.
STEP 2: Check that the steam control is set to the “MIN” position.
STEP 3: Position the Steam Iron on the case unit and remove the water tank by the tank handle and then pulling it out and away.
STEP 4: Fill a suitable measuring vessel with water and carefully pour the contents into the water tank.
STEP 5: Insert the water tank back into the base unit. Until it clicks into position.
Note: It is advised that tap water is used when filling the water tank rather than 100% DEionized water, as this may affect the internal sensors of the Steam Iron and could prevent the pump from operating correctly.
Caution: Do not fill the water tank with hot  ater.
Caution: Never add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic or detergent products into the appliance, as this may damage the appliance or make it unsafe for use.

USING THE STEAM IRON

This anti-calc filter should be soaked in water, in a separate container for approximately 5-10 minutes before each use; prevent the Steam Iron from not emitting steam.

IRONING WITH STEAM

When steam ironing for the first time, it is recommended to iron a plain cloth to test that the Steam Iron is working at the correct temperature. Ensure that this is done without using the steam setting.
STEP 1: Fill the water tank according to the instructions in the section entitled ‘Filling the Water Tank’.
STEP 2: Plug in and rotate the temperature control in a clockwise direction on the Steam Iron.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the on Steam Iron, rotate the temperature control dial in a clockwise direction until the required temperature is selected. Reduce the temperature by rotating the temperature control dial in an anticlockwise direction. The temperature indicator light will illuminate to indicator that the on Steam Iron is heating up; this will switch off when it is ready to use.
STEP 4: Select the steam setting by pressing and holding the steam button. The steam setting can be switched off at any time by releasing the steam button.
STEP 5: Push the steam locker with continues steamer without pressing the steam button.
STEP 6: After use, rotate the temperature control dial to the ‘MIN” position, then unplug the Steam Iron from the main power supply.
Note: The Steam Iron will need to be set a minimum of the 2-dot heat setting to produce steam. When the Steam Iron is not in use, ensure that it is rested on the base unit. Warning: Do not use the Steam Iron to iron one particular area for long periods of time as this will damage the fabric.
Caution: The hose will get very hot during use; do not touch it.

IRONING WITHOUT STEAM

STEP 1: The water tank does not need to be filled to iron without steam; if it is full it can wither be emptied or left so that it is ready for the next use with steam.
STEP 2: Plug in and rotate the temperature control in a clockwise direction on the Steam Iron ate the mains power supply.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the on Steam Iron, rotate the temperature control dial in a clockwise direction until the required temperature is selected. Reduce the temperature by rotating the temperature control dial in an anticlockwise direction. The temperature indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the Steam Iron is heating up;
this will switch off when it is ready to use.
STEP 4: After use, rotate the temperature control dial to the ‘MIN” position, then unplug the Steam Iron from the main power supply.

VERTICAL STEAM IRONING

STEP 1: Hang up the item to be vertically steamed.
STEP 2: Fill the water tank according to the instructions in the section entitled ‘Filling the Water Tank’.
STEP 3: Rotate the temperature control dial until a minimum 2-dot heat setting is selected; the higher the temperature the more powerful the steam.
STEP 4: Holding the Steam Iron approximately 20 cm away from the item, press and hold the steam button or push the steam locker, working in short bursts to remove any creases.

EASY CARRY LOCKER

The easy carry locker attached to the base unit can be used to transport the Steam Iron with ease. To do so, lift it in an upward motion until it clicks into position. Before using the Steam Iron, the easy carry handle must be locked back into position against the base unit; press and hold the handle release button and carefully lower it back to place.

TIPS & TRICKS

Always start on a low heating setting and work up to a higher one where it is needed; it takes less time for the Steam Iron to heat up than it does to cool down. It is advised that the steam button is used for short bursts rather than prolonged periods of time. This can prevent water dripping from the steam holes and can reduce the frequency of needing to refill the water tank. Before each use, check the case labels on the fabrics to be ironed do that the correct temperature setting is selected.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the Steam Iron from the mains power supply and allow it to cool for approximately 30 minutes. Drain the remaining water from the water tank to prevent it leaking during cleaning. Wipe the Steam Iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. To remove any build-up around the steam holes, use a cotton wool tip dampened with methylated spirits.
Wipe off the methylated spirits with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Do not immerse the Steam Iron in water or any other liquid.
STORAGE
Before storing the Steam Iron, ensure that it has cooled and dried thoroughly.
Check that the water tank is empty. Cram the cord and steam pipe in the base storage;
never cram it tightly as this could cause damage. Position the Steam Iron onto the rubber
support of the base unit; this will help to prevent the ceramic soleplate from getting
scratched. Store in a cool, dry place.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury, unplug the Steam Station Iron from the mains power supply before troubleshooting.
