INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installation must be completed by a competent person. This fire is designed to be fully inset into a media wall. Please note the fire is not intended to be a structural part of the feature, and so the wall must be designed in a way where the fire does not support the weight of the wall above. This is best achieved by creating a stud wall firmly secured to the existing wall.
The media wall should be constructed to your own design, ensuring that an opening is left for the installation of the fireplace. The depth of the opening must be at least 35 cm to allow space for the fire and airflow to the inlets on the rear.
The openings should be the following dimensions, although we would always advise for these to be checked against the actual product due to production variations.
WIDTH | HEIGHT | |
---|---|---|
AGL051 | 153cm | 42cm |
AGL052 | 183cm |
Within the media wall, we would strongly advise ventilation openings with a minimum surface area of 200cm2. This will both help prevent any stagnation of moisture within the wall, and also ensure the appliance has an adequate supply of air for heating.
