Functions

Power-on
Once the appliance is turned on, a “buzz” sound will be heard. The display indicator light will be fully on and then appear “OFF” sign. Press the “Function/Cancel” key at this time to select the function or press the *Timer” key to pre-set the time.

Function selection
Press the”Function/Cancel” key, and the function will show “Fruit Tea, Ginger Tea, Boiling Water, Sweet Soup, Slow Cook, Keep Warm”. After the corresponding function indicator flashes for 5 seconds, the product will jump to the functionkey. The indicator will be normally on, and the display will show the “Actual Temperature”.

Functional operation (e.g., boiling water)

  • Press the “Function/ Cancel” key and select the “Boiling Water”function. The product will jump to the boiling waterfunction in 5 minutes, the funetion indicator will be normally on and the display will show the actual temperature.
  • The appliance will automatically stop heating when it reaches 100 C. The heat preservation indicator will be normally on, and the product will show the timing length (e.g., showing “0:30″within 30 minutes). The heat preservation time is non-adjustable. The heat preservation time is 12 hours by default for the boiling waterfunetion. Press the “Function/Cancel” key to cancel the function.

Warm tips: Do not add the water above the maximum water level of stew to prevent overspill under thestewfunctions of “Slow Cook” and “Sweet Soup”.

Preset/ Timer function

Preset:
Press the “Preset/Timer” key at the standby state. When you press the “Preset/Timer” key once, thepre-set time will inerease by 5 minutes (the adjustable time range is 30 minutes to 24 hours). Select the pre-settime and select the corresponding function. Then, the function indicator will flash for 5 s, and display will be on and show the pre-set countdown, and the appliance will jumptothe pre-set function.

Timer
Press the “Preset/Timer” key at the standby state. After selecting the function of “Fruit Tea, Ginger Tea, Boiling Water, Sweet Soup, Slow Cook”, press the “Preset/Timer” key to adjust the function timing length (i.c., the cooking time after the water is boiled). The adjustable time range for”Fruit Tea” and “Ginger Tea”, is 5min-60min (the stepping within 10 minutes is I minute, and the stepping within 10 minutes is 5 minutes). The adjustable time range for”Sweet Soup” and “Slow Cook”is 0.5h-3h, and the stepping is 5 minutes. Warm Tips: After selecting the function of”Fruit Tea, Ginger Tea, Boiling Water, Sweet Soup or Slow Cook”under the function, you may needtoadjust the timing length.

Keep warm and temperature adjustment
Press the “Function/Cancel” key. After selecting the keepwarm function, you can press the “Temp. Adjust” key to set the maintaining temperature, and the adjustable temperature range is 40 C 90 C.

Safety Precautions

  1. Please use the AC power supply consistent with the voltage value indicated on the nameplate.
  2. Please use the power supply with the grounding protection to ensure the personal safety.
  3. Do not locate this appliance near or on the flammable and explosive substances surface; do not put it in a humid place or positions approaching to ther heat sources to avoid potential hazard or risks.
  4. This product should be placed on a stable platform and keep away from the children.
  5. When the product is operating, the glass pot is extremely hot. Do not touch the glass pot or its spout to avoid scalding.
  6. The product will emit steam during operation. Do not approach your face or hand to the steam portto avoid scalding; the objects adversely affected by the steam shall not be placed on the product; do not cover the cloth or similar object on the steam portto avoid accidents or product failure.
  7. Please unplug the power cordimmediately if the product operates without water and re-operate the product until the appliance cools down. Do not touch the heating plate with hand to prevent scalding.
  8. Fill waterbetween the “Minimum water level (MIN)” and “Maximum water level (MAx)”. If too much water is filled,the boiled water may be erupted.
  9. The power wire must be inserted appropriately.
  10. The power plug and socket shall be kept dry. Do not insert and extract the power plug with wet hand to avoid electrie shock.
  11. Do not move the product while working
  12. The pot shall be used on the base provided.
  13. 13.Wash or boils watertwice before the first use and pour out the residual water.
  14. Do not use the product when there is no supervision.
  15. Ensure that thelid is closed tightly during water boiling to avoid overspill after water boiling.
  16. The appliance shall not be used by those who are physically weak, slow in reaction or have mental disturbance (including children), unless they are guided or assisted by the personnel in charge of safety.
  17. The children shall be supervised to prevent from playing the appliance
  18. Do not strike the product furcibly to avoid damage and accident.

Cleaning andMaintenance

  1. Before cleaning, the power plug must be extracted from the power socket to cool the product.
  2. Both the glass pot and itlid can be cleaned by the detergent and sponge. Do not clean them with the hard steel wire. Otherwise, the surface will be damaged.
  3. Do not immerse the power base, the power wire and the whole product in any liquid to prevent water from entering the appliance, which may result in faulty.
  4. You may wipe the outer surface of the pot and power base with the wet towel. Do not clean the product with the corrosive liquid.
  5. To ensure the normal use of the product, thelimescalemust be removed periodically from the pot. The limescaleshall not be removed by the metal. It is recommended to add water in the pot and then place the (food grade) citric acid or sliced lemon for heating to remove the limescale.
  6. Please clean and pack it when it is out of use for a long time. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry place.

  8. Non-professionals shall not disassemble andrepair the product.
  9. If the power wire is damaged, it must be replaced by professionals of the manufactureror the Maintenance Department.
  10. When the productmalfunctioningwhich cannot be eliminated, do not repair it by yourself. Please contact our local franchised maintenance outlet or our Customer Service Department.
  11. The glass parts in the product are fragile and excluded from warranty. Please use such parts carefully.

12 MONTH WARRANTY

In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for amajor failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. It’s important to note that this warranty is valid only in the country of purchase. Kylin guarantees this product against defects caused by faulty workmanship and materials for 12 months of domestic use ( or 3 months commercial use) from the date of purchase. During this warranty period, Kylin will repair any defective product. If the product includes a number of accessories, only the defective part or accessory will be replaced. Kylin reserves the right to make minor adjustments instead of replacing the product or accessory. Packaging, instructions, recipes ete will also not be replaced unless faulty. In the event of a product or accessory being replaced during the warranty period, the warranty on the replacement product will expire 12 months from the purchase date of the original product, not 12 months from the date of the replacement.

To the extent permitted by law, this Kylin 12 months warranty excludes liability for consequential loss or any other loss or damage caused to the property or persons arising from any cause whatsoever. It also excludes defects caused by the product not being used by Instructions, accidental damage, misuse, or being tampered with by unauthorised persons, excludes breakables such as glass and ceramic items, consumable items and normal wear and tear and does not cover the cost of claiming under the warranty or transporting the goods t0 and from the place of purchase.
