Whirlpool W11637920 Load Washer
WARNING
Fire Hazard
Never place items in the washer that are dampened with gasoline or other
flammable fluids. No washer can completely remove oil. Do not dry anything
that has ever had any type of oil on it (including cooking oils). Doing so can
result in death, explosion, or fire.
QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE
The washer images in this guide are only illustrative and may differ from the model you acquired.

INSTALL THE DRAIN SYSTEM
Fasten the hose to the drain port. Don’t add extensions.
Hose must be at height of 0.9 to 1.2 m from the floor.(Placed at a lower altitude may cause automatic drain). Water spill may occur when installing your washer because it has undergone quality testing at the factory. -
INSTALL FILLING HOSES
Before connecting hoses, let water run for 10 seconds. -
LEVEL YOUR WASHER
Adjust leveling legs using a bubble level and make sure that all of them touch the floor.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- ADD DETERGENT AND SOFTENER(FOLLOW MANUFACTURE’S INSTRUCTIONS)
- ADD BLEACH
- LOAD CLOTHES EVENLY DISTRIBUTED (CHECK USE AND CARE GUIDE)
- CLOSE THE MAXIMUM WLID TO ASHING EFFICIENCYENSURE THE
- PRESS THE POWER/CANCEL BUTTON AND SELECT CYCLE AND WASHING OPTIONS
- PRESS START/PAUSE BUTTON TO START
At the end of the cycle the leds of “Washing Stages” will be flashing approximately 10 minutes.
MANUAL FILL
- ADD DETERGENT AND THEN THE CLOTHES LOAD
- PRESS THE POWER/CANCEL BUTTON, SELECT THE CYCLE AND WASHING OPTIONS
- PRESS START/PAUSE BUTTON
- OPEN THE LID AND FILL MANUALLY THE TUB WITH WATER ACCORDING TO THE LEVEL OF CLOTHES TO WASH
- CLOSE THE LID AND PRESS START/PAUSE
- TO RINSE, PRESS START/PAUSE TO PAUSE THE CYCLE AND UNBLOCK THE LID
PRESS START/ PAUSE EVERY TIME YOU OPEN/CLOSE THE LID.
HOW TO CHANGE A CYCLE
Press once the POWER/CANCEL button. The water will not be drained, the
washer enters in the pause mode which allows to change the cycle. Press
START/PAUSE to start the new cycle. If you select “AUTO” option the water
previously filled in will be drained automatically to start sensing phase from
the AUTO LEVEL® system.
HOW TO DRAIN WATER:
If you want to drain thewater and not reuse it, select cycle Drain press
Start/Pause to start draining the water.
HOW TO TURN OFF YOUR WASHER:
Press twice POWER/ CANCEL.
AUTO LEVEL

The tub with the load. In this moment the lid is blocked. -
DETECTS
Automatically the load size in 1 minute approximately. -
FILLS
Automatically the optimum water level.

TROUBLESHOOTING
We recommend that you review this troubleshooting chart for the most common issues before calling the toll free line.
PROBLEM | POSSIBLE CAUSE | SOLUTION |

The washer does not turn on. (It does nothing).
| a) There is no power.| a) Check if there is electricity at home and if the
outlet of your washer has power.
b) START/PAUSE button was not pressed when closing lid.| b) Press the
START/PAUSE button each time you lift and close the lid.
Washer is not filling water.
| a) There is not enough pressure in the water supply.| a) Check if there is
water in the supply that provides water to the house.
b) Washer filters are plugged.| b) Clean your washer filters (in some
locations water comes with solid particles so filters must be cleaned at least
once a month).
c) The lid is open.| c) Be sure the lid is closed for an optimal detection.
d) The washer is in the detection phase.| d) Wait until the washer finishes
the detection phase (approximately 1 minute).
The washer drains water from tub and cancels cycle.
| a) The washer has the lid open.| a) Close the washer’s lid when the filling
starts (the washer drains when keeping the lid open for more than 10 minutes).
b) The drain hose is located near the floor.| b) Check the drain hose is
between 0.9 and 1.2 meters high.
The washer is not filling water at the requested level for the clothes load.
| a) The washer is starting phase 1 of the Xpert cycle.| a) Xpert cycles start
the cleaning process with a lower water level, which is normal, since the
washer will fill completely when reaching phase 3. (Check the user manual for
Xpert system information).
b) Water level does not match with the SMART LOAD indicator.| b) SMART LOAD is
only an indicator.
c) Load was wet before the AUTO LEVEL phase.| c) For a better detection of
load size and optimum operation of your washer, insert DRY CLOTHES.
d) Xpert cycle “Water Saving” is selected.| d) This cycle is designed for
water saving, if you wish use more water when washing, select another cycle.
When filling manually, the washer drains the water when pressing START/
PAUSE.| “AUTO” option is selected in the Load Size knob and manual filling was
done before pressing START/PAUSE.| To wash with manual filling, first prepare
the washer with clothes and detergent, press the POWER/CANCEL button, select
the cycle, press START/PAUSE button, wait 1 minute and then proceed to the
manual filling. (See reverse for instructions).
The washer is not working, (slow agitation) and it enters in a pause with no activity.
| a) The washer is in the “Heavy with Soak” cycle or in the “Soak” manual
cycle.| a) If you do not wish to use Soak option, cancel the cycle or select
another cycle.
b) The washer is in the detection phase (AUTO LEVEL).| b) During 1 minute,
approximately, the washer will turn until establishing the load size.
c) The washer is in the “Delicates” cycle.| c) This cycle is designed with
intermittent pauses for the proper clothes care.
d) The washer is in the maximum capacity of clothes.
| d) The washer is designed with a gentle agitation operation at its maximum capacity, for the best care of the clothes review the
use and care manual in the “Suggested Load Chart” and “Cycles Guide” sections.
The washer takes a lot of time to wash or rinses several times.
| a) Clothes load may be unbalanced.| a) Insert garments in an even way around the agitator/Impeller
3D®.
b) Soap used generates a lot of foam.| b) We recommend using detergents for automatic washers that generate low foam. Follow the manufacturer instructions.
The washer do not Spin or Pound.
| a) Clothes load may be unbalanced.| a) Insert garments in an even way around the agitator/Impeller
3D®. Check use and care guide for correct load suggestion.
b) Your washer is not well leveled.| b) Adjust the leveling feet with the help of a bubble level tool.
Noise
| a) Our washing machines have a higher power motor, which generates different washing movements that are more efficient.|
