Safety

  • Read this instruction manual carefully.
  • Observe the instructions for the base unit. Only use the accessories:
  • with a hand blender MSM8… / MS8….
  • for applications described in these instructions.
  • Never touch the blade edges with bare hands.
  • Care should be taken when handling sharp blades, emptying the container and during cleaning.
  • Never touch the sharp blades and edges with bare hands.
  • Only ever take hold of the cutter inserts by the rim.
  • Do not reach into the filling shaft.
  • Only use the pusher to push down ingredients.
  • Only attach and remove accessories once the drive has stopped and the appliance has been unplugged.
  • Only use the accessories once fully assembled.
  • Never operate the multifunctional accessory without having fitted and secured the gear attachment.
Avoiding material damage
  • Never immerse the gear attachments in liquids and do not clean under running water or in the dishwasher.
  • Never use the universal accessory container in the microwave or oven.
  • Do not insert objects into the container or filling shaft, e.g. wooden spoons, knives.
  • Do not apply great force with the pusher.
  • Never use the blender foot or the whisk in the container of the multifunction accessory.
  • Never use the universal cutter container in the microwave or oven.
  • Never use the blender foot or the whisk in the universal cutter container.

Multifunctional accessory accessory

Multifunctional The multifunctional accessory is suitable for kneading, cutting and shredding food.
Notes

  • Remove hard pieces of food before processing, e.g. gristle, bones, sinews or stones from stone fruit.
  • The multifunctional accessory is not suitable for cutting up very hard ingredients, e.g. coffee beans, nutmegs, radishes or frozen food.

Universal blade/kneading hook

The universal blade is suitable for cutting up food, e.g. meat, hard cheese, onions, garlic, fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts and almonds. The kneading hook is suitable for kneading small amounts of dough.

Note: If the gear attachment is a bit stiff to
fit, turn the three-piece coupling on the underside of the attachment slightly and try again.









Carrier disc with cutter inserts
The carrier disc with cutter inserts is suitable for cutting, shredding and grating food, e.g. fruit, vegetables and cheese.

Overview of cutter inserts

Slicing insert coarse For slicing cucumbers, carrots, potatoes
Slicing insert  fine For slicing cucumbers, carrots, beetroot, courgettes
Shredding insert For shredding apples, carrots, cheese
Grating insert For grating potatoes for dumplings and potato pancakes and

fruit and vegetables for salads
Note : Must not be used for grating carrots.

Note : The cutter inserts are not suitable for cutting up very hard foods, e.g. Parmesan cheese or chocolate.
The cutter inserts are only partly suitable for cutting up fibrous foods, e.g. leeks, celery or rhubarb.

Using the carrier disc with cutter inserts

Note : Finish processing and empty the container before the processed food reaches the underside of the carrier disc.















Whisk

The whisk is suitable for whipping cream, beating egg whites or milk froth and for making sauces or desserts.
Recommendations for optimum results:

  • Use cream with a minimum fat content of 30% and a temperature of 4-8 °C
  • Use milk with a high protein content and a temperature of max. 8 °C
  • Whip cream or beat egg whites in a wide jug
    Note : To prevent splashing, use deep containers with the whisk.

Universal cutter

The universal cutter is suitable for cutting up food, e.g. meat, hard cheese, onions, garlic, fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts or almonds.
Notes

  • Remove hard pieces of food before processing, e.g. gristle, bones, sinews or stones from stone fruit.
  • The universal cutter is not suitable for cutting up very hard ingredients, e.g. coffee beans, nutmegs, radishes or frozen food.
  • Only process ice cubes with the ice crusher blade.

Sample recipes

Potato patties

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste Preparation
  • Insert the grating insert in the carrier disc and prepare the multifunctional accessory for processing.
  • Peel and grate the potatoes.
  • Mix the grated potatoes, egg, flour, salt and pepper.
  • If the mixture is too liquid, add more flour.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Then add a large spoonful of the mixture and shape into patties. Fry on both sides until golden

Bread dough

  • 200 g flour

  • 120 ml water

  • 7 g sugar

  • 7 g margarine

  • 0.5 g yeast

  • 4 g salt
    Preparation

  • Insert the kneading hook and prepare the multifunctional accessory for processing.

  • Add all ingredients except the water to the container.

  • Mix the ingredients at turbo speed.

  • After several seconds pour the water through the feed tube.

  • Process everything at turbo speed.

  • Maximum switch-on time: 45 seconds

  • Process no more than this quantity each time.

Honey cake with apples

Honey-apple mixture → Fig. 49

Cakes

  • 3 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 100 g plain white flour
  • 60 g ground walnuts

Overview of cleaning

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 apple
    Preparation

  • Separate the eggs and whisk the egg whites until stiff.

  • Beat the egg yolk with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the soft butter and the prepared honey-apple mixture.

  • Mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl, add to the moist ingredients and stir in.

  • Carefully fold in the beaten egg whites with a spatula.

  • Line a rectangular loaf tin (35 x 11 cm) with greaseproof paper and add the prepared cake mixture.

  • Peel the apple, cut into slices and arrange on the cake.

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C and bake the cake for 30 minutes.
