NORSPRAY heatbox
Introduction
HeatBox is a patent-protected air-driven heat cabinet with adjustable Vortex heating element, approved for Ex-zone1.
Purpose and Usage
The equipment is intended to heat up painting, coating, oil and lubricants.
Use Restrictions
- HeatBox must not be used to heat sealed containers or fluids with low-er ignition point than 140 Degrees Celsius.
- The equipment must only be used when it’s on a level and stable surface.
- HeatBox has warm interior surface and can cause burns if in contact with bare skin.
- Make sure that HeatBox is emptied of contents under transportation.
- Use only compressed air that meet the ISO 8573 standard for quality and that does not exceed 8 bar.\
- Do not heat up containers / bins with a diameter larger than 28 cm.
Before use
- Check the HeatBox for external dam-age and loose objects
- Make sure the lid is properly fixed and that the HeatBox is placed on stable surface.
- Make sure that the HeatBox surface is not covered with paint or oil products. This is to maintain Ex-requirements.
- Attach the grounding clamp to ade-quate grounding.
- Connect compressed air to the Heat-Box (maximum 8 Bar). Always use a safety wire on the hose connection.
- Adjust to the desired temperature by using the valve wheel marked with red and blue arrows.
- Place the paint or oil product that requires heating into the HeatBox.
- Read the HeatBox internal tempera-ture using the thermometer on top lid.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Use suitable cleaners (eg. White spirit) on HeatBox surface. Avoid the use of Lynol, Xylene etc.
- Make sure that the sign certification is readable at all times.
Warranty Conditions
HeatBox is provided with a 2-year warranty. The warranty on the product only applies when the product is used with current guidelines described in this manual. The warranty does not cover damage that has occurred by me-chanical impact, shock or if there has been used compressed air that is not in accordance with ISO 8573.

Det Norske Veritas is authorized organ and has participated in CE type approval according to EN 60079-0 clause 7.3.2A and 26.13 for approval to HeatBox HT-Zone1.
