603-0092 Hearing Aid
Prior to first use to ensure the optimal performance of your Medic Therapeutics Hearing Aid, follow the quick starter guide steps below and review the included manual in depth.
STEP 1: FULLY CHARGE HEARING AIDS PRIOR TO FIRST USE
- Prior to first use, make sure that the hearing aids are completely charged. Connect the charging case with the provided power cord to commence charging. An indicator light will illuminate as the device is being charged and will turn off once fully charged (full charging time is approximately 6 hours).
- Note: Even if the charger itself shuts off after 4 hours, continue charging the hearing aids for 2 more hours (to reach the full 6 hours of charging time) prior to first use. Only after the first initial use of the hearing aids, charging the device for 4 hours (rather than 6) will be sufficient to operate the device.
- NOTE: It is recommended to wear the hearing aids for 2 hours during the first use in a relatively quiet indoor environment. Slowly work your way up to wearing them for longer periods of time and in outdoor environments. When NOT in use, please store the hearing aids in the charging case. The hearing aids will automatically switch off and then automatically switch on when removed from the charging case.
STEP 2: CORRECT WEARING METHODS
- Clean your ear canal with a cotton swab before inserting the hearing aids.
- Packaging includes 3 sets of silicone ear tips (small, medium & large); the ear tip should fit tightly against your ear canal.
- Select the appropriate size for your ear and apply to the hearing aids.
- Note: If you do not use an appropriate silicone ear tip size for your ear, there will be a gap between your ear canal and the hearing aids; this can produce an undesired noise/whistling sounds when turned on and in active use. Do not wear the hearing aids while exercising, as doing so can make the device prone to falling/being damaged and may also produce an undesired noise/whistling sound.
STEP 3: VOLUME & PROGRAM ADJUSTMENT
- Make sure to set your hearing aids at the appropriate volume and program levels to avoid undesired noise/whistling sounds.
- Volume Adjustment: Quickly press and release the volume/program button for 1 second to reduce the volume. The hearing aids will beep twice at every volume reduction. Once the minimum volume is reached, the hearing aids will beep once. Press the button once more to jump to the maximum volume; the hearing aids will beep once again. There are a total of 6 volume levels.
- Program adjustment: Press and hold the volume/program button for 3 seconds to adjust the program. The number of beeps emitted from the device each indicate which program you have set your device to; the hearing aids’ default program setting is “Program 1”. With every press and hold, the program will adjust from normal frequency output (Program 1), to high frequency output (Program 2), and then low frequency output (Program 3).
