CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY

Ceramic Technology helps keep your hair looking healthy & shiny by maintaining even heat during the curling process. Static is reduced by quickly sealing the hair cuticle layer ensuring minimal frizz making your hair easier to manage.

ADVANCED PLASMA CONDITIONING IONS

Many aspects of modern living, including air conditioning, contact with man- made fibers & air pollution add to the build-up of static electricity in your hair. Even simply brushing & towel-drying your hair can increase these levels. This static charge causes the scales, or cuticles of the hair, to push hair strands apart, resulting in a rough hair surface. Consequently, your hair may have a dull appearance. High levels of static charge cause your hair to become `flyaway’ & difficult to style. Advanced Plasma Conditioning Ion technology is designed with a unique air attraction system that creates millions of supercharged Plasma Ions that when released into the hair creates a microscopic water molecule coating, wrapping each hair cuticle, boosting & sealing the hydration level & reducing the transpiration of moisture that colouring hair, bleaching & environmental elements can cause over time. The Plasma Conditioning Ions bring equilibrium to your hair, hydrating & replenishing each hair cuticle for an overall conditioning effect, so that hair feels healthier, glossier, smoother & frizz-free after consistent use.

NOTE: Turning on the styler will automatically activate the Advanced Plasma Conditioning Ions. Any noise generated from the ion ports is normal.

WET & DRY TECHNOLOGY

You can use this styler on dry hair, as you would a regular one, & with Wet & Dry Technology it also allows you to use it on hair that’s still damp. Little outlets on the top of the barrel, channel excess water out through the vents in the housing letting you skip the dryer! When used on damp hair you may hear a hissing sound & some steam may appear. This is normal – it’s the excess water from your hair evaporating as it dries.

CAUTION: Steam evaporating through the vents will be hot. During use, avoid touching or blocking the vents & direct vents away from your face & scalp.

WORLDWIDE VOLTAGE

This styler has a worldwide voltage feature that allows the styler to be used while travelling worldwide. The voltage automatically converts for ease from 100V~ – 240V~ without the need for a switch.

NOTE: A suitable plug adaptor will be required – refer to chart below.

HOW TO USE THE HYDRO SMOOTH STRAIGHT & CURL

IMPORTANT:
Hair that has been heavily bleached or chemically treated should only use the low heat setting on this product. Please consult your hairdresser on using heated appliances if you have any concerns about the condition of your hair.

CAUTION:
This is a high-heat appliance. Care must be taken to avoid the hot surfaces of the appliance coming into contact with the skin (e.g. scalp, neck ears, face, etc.) as the barrel can, particularly if held too close, cause discomfort or even burn.

BEFORE USING

  • Remove all packaging & point of sale labels before use. · Remove plastic cover from plug before use (used to protect it from damage during transportation).

    • Divide your hair into 4 sections (2 back & 2 front).
    • Starting with the back sections at the nape of the neck, take a horizontal section no wider than the plate of the styler & clamp the plates over the section then glide down slowly & evenly.
    • Repeat this through all sections.
  6. TO CURL Slide the STYLING switch to the CURLING ( ) function. a. Divide your hair into equal sections & comb section once more before curling each individual section.
    • Press down on the clamp lever, place the curling tong half way up the section of hair & distribute the hair evenly between the clamp & tong. As you hold the styler in one hand & the cool tips in the other, gently pull the curling tong down to the tips of your hair section.

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF

This styler has an automatic shut-off feature for added safety. If the styler is switched on for more than 60 minutes continuously, it will automatically switch off. If you wish to continue using the styler after this time, simply press & hold down the button for 1-2 seconds to turn your styler on.

STRAIGHTEN

Start with clean & dry or clean & damp, thoroughly combed through hair. Apply a heat spray for extra protection & longer lasting results. Straighten your hair in sections ensuring you go over each section once to get that gorgeous, silky finish. If you are needing to go over the section more than once, creating thinner sections will help create straight hair in the first glide.

VOLUME
Create volume by making a curved movement with your wrist as you glide the straightener down the hair section.

TIGHT BOUNCY CURLS
For a sleek, glamorous look; Roll less hair in sections, in the same direction.

FREE-FLOWING CURLS
For a more voluminous look; Roll more hair in sections, alternating from wrapping sections of hair under & over the curling tong so that the curls bounce off each other.

FLIPS & WAVES
To add flips & waves, secure ends in between plates & wrap hair around the outer housing. It’s an easy way to add shape to straight styles. Turn your wrist up or under to create flips, add curl or more body.

EXPERT TIP
Set your style with a spritz of light hold hair spray, for extra hold if needed.
