How does a plate camera work?****
A plate camera uses single pieces of glass coated with light-sensitive chemicals as its light-sensitive elements, or subsequently, single pieces of film, each of which may capture one image. The early cameras required loading in the dark and were single-shot devices.
How do I stop speed cameras reading my number plate?****
When placed over your licence plate, Stealthplate, a self-adhesive, transparent polycarbonate cover, prevents the majority of infrared (IR) cameras from photographing your registration.
How many megapixels do you need to read a license plate?****
In reality, due to moving fast cars, great distances, etc., the 1080p security camera might not be able to detect the licence plate. You can try 4MP and 5MP licence plate security cameras for much clearer licence plate number capture.

Do speed cameras take photos of the driver?****
No, standard speed cameras don’t record the driver’s image. In the event that you are apprehended, you must complete a document identifying the driver at the time of the offence. Failure to comply with this is illegal, and the registered keeper of the vehicle may face charges.
