Folding/Unfolding the Kettle
This kettle features a space saving designed and will be collapsed/folded when
packed.
Unfolding The Kettle
- To unfold the kettle, simply pull up the silicone body.
- Then, unfold the kettle’s handle and position it into the handle support clip, making sure that it locks into place. This will provide you with a strong and sturdy hold. (See Figure 1)
Please note, if the handle is NOT correctly locked into place, then the
appliance will not operate.
Unfolding The Kettle
- To fold the kettle, first make sure the kettle is empty and is disconnected from the mains power supply.
- Press the release button on the handle and release the handle lock at the same time to unclip the handle so that it can be folded downwards.
- Then, push the silicone body until the kettle is fully folded inwards.
On First Use
Before using the foldable kettle for the first time, we recommend that you
clean the kettle by boiling at full capacity 0.5L twice and ensure that the
water is safely discarded.
Operating Instructions
-
Make sure the kettle is fully unfolded, and the handle is locked into place.
-
Open the lid by turning it counter-clockwise
-
Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Do not fill more than the maximum amount (0.5L). Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
-
Close the lid, and turn the lid clockwise to lock the lid
-
Connect the kettle to your mains power and set the switch to “-” (see Figure 2), which will allow the kettle to start boiling and the indicator light will switch on.
(Note: The switch will be set to “o” as default) -
The kettle will stop boiling once the water has boiled. If the switch (Figure 1) is still set to “-“, the kettle will automatically re-boil if the temperature is below a certain temperature (see Automatic Reboil Function). To stop the automatic re-boil, simply set the switch to “o”.
-
After use, please disconnect from the mains power.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT fill the kettle more than the maximum level, as water
may spill out of the spout when boiling. Also, ensure the lid is locked before
connecting the kettle to your mains power supply.
Automatic Reboil Function
This kettle comes with Automatic Reboil Function. This feature detects the
temperature of the water inside the kettle. If the temperature of the water
drops below a certain level, the kettle will automatically re-boil the water.
To switch this off, simply set the switch to “o”.
Boil-Dry Protect
In the unlikely event where the switch has been set to “-” and there is no
water inside the water, the kettle’s boil-dry protection system will
automatically stop the kettle from heating up. Should this occur, and you wish
to use the kettle. Allow the kettle to cool down before filling the kettle
with water for boiling.
Care & Maintenance
Cleaning
Before Cleaning
Prior to cleaning this appliance, please ensure that it is fully disconnected
from the mains power. WARNING: Never immerse either the kettle or the power
cord into water. And do not allow any moisture to get in contact with the
power cord or plug.
Cleaning the kettle’s interior
Over time, the mineral deposits from tap water will discolour the kettle’s
interior, and even lead to build up of residue. To clean this, use a suitable
liquid descaler.
Cleaning the kettle’s exterior
Wipe the kettle’s exterior casing with a damp cloth. IMPORTANT: When cleaning
the kettle, do not use a chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaner as this
may risk damaging the kettle.
After Use & Storage
After you have finished using the kettle, disconnect the kettle from the mains
power and ensure that there is no water inside the kettle and allow the kettle
to fully dry. Once fully dried, fold the kettle inwards (see Unfolding/Folding
The Kettle) and wind the power cord in the cable tidy which can be found on
the underside of your kettle.
